@godsdead @markusi13 @calliemav
today a deckhand sieged us at trade, and he had beginners protection, so we couldnt kill him.
but, he could grief our shop without getting killed.
then dag came and killed me and gotta (we both had iron armor) so the siege ended and the noob got full access.
this issue really needs to be fixed, because this could have happened at a bigger base.
btw the noobs name is cocoa2047.

You could try adding vines over the iron golem ones.

@GodsDead
After making a video today I played around with my old turrets trying to convert them into the new WoodenTurret craft or the StoneTurret craft and I encountered some issues…
Making a sign with WoodenTurret as the craft name does not work at all for some reason as I created the sign and right clicked but no notices appeared in my chat.
StoneTurret’s do not count half slabs as blocks and only count double half slabs as blocks making some turret designs not work properly. I’m not sure if this is on purpose or not. I know it says double stone slabs are allowed on the turrets on the ship page in game they actually aren’t working.
VERY old problem that was never fixed entirely. Slabs and their double blocks aren’t allowed on all ships
i.e. Galleon has both stone slabs and double stone slabs allowed but other ships only have stone slabs (single) allowed.
Minor issue but the turrets on the ship page, StoneTurret says WoodTurret and WoodCrane Allowed Blocks
instead of StoneTurret and StoneCrane Allowed Blocks
Please check into these issues and tell me if they were actually problems or if I’m just crazy!
Thank you Godsy!

Hey guys, update to the website, player profiles and group profiles can now have cover images like on facebook, it seems they are responsive to the size of the browser, so they act a little differently to facebook.
Here are some quick examples,
Group cover image set.
http://piratemc.com/groups/settlements/
Player cover images set:
http://piratemc.com/members/smokeyriver/
http://piratemc.com/members/GodsDead/
To change your cover photo go to the menu top right, hover over profile and click change cover photo.
For a group, go to your group page that you admin, click manage, then click cover photo.
These could come in really handy with groups, as you could show off a groups colors, the map location, write a message in an image, show player ranks and whos who on the image. Im sure you will be able to come up with creative designs!
Only note, obviously noting offensive or rude.
🙂

This is the hardest thing to do so we changed that to ALL VOLUNTEERS GET ALL THE MINERALS(lapis,gold,iron,diamond,coal,redstone) THEY COLLECT(unless they want to sell them to us). But I am open to suggestions on how to pay volunteers because we can’t literally pay them every day or week. @GodsDead @CallieMav @Markusi13 Is there a way that I can open a permanent page on this forum(in general chat)?
Yes, create a group. http://piratemc.com/groups/create/

Here is an interesting alternative bounty plugin, Godsdead: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/herobounty/ It functions similar to the one we already have, but what it does is keep bounties anonymous. That means you must pay a small sum to take a contract and you have 24 hours to complete it, but you don’t know who your target will be before you accept it. +The positive+ -o- The plugin reduces bounty gaming because you can’t scan the bounty list for certain targets you’d like to deal with. -o- The system adds an element of surprise to gameplay. -o- Bounty hunters are encouraged to attempt hits on players who aren’t commonly targeted – due to the potential loss of money from accepting the contract. -o- Players are also encouraged to go after big cash incentives than to deliberately harass small fry. -o- Bounty kills are announced in main chat, meaning bounty gaming can be picked up on by observant players. -The negative- -o- Players in big crews or players with many friends are discouraged from using the system, because chances are they’d have to hunt and kill an ally. (This is a big minus point!) -o- You might accept a bounty, only to find the player is offline or won’t be online while you’re playing. -o- A player can still be alerted by an ally who randomly takes the bounty – so bounty gaming won’t be eradicated completely. -o- Players can still agree to share the profits after informing their target of their intention to turn in the bounty. (Though likely only players who trust each other will do this.) -o- The monetary penalty can theoretically be abused by killing the target player over and over and setting a new bounty each time. -o- You get no visual recognition for being a renowned “wanted” player. -o- The plugin tracks target players’ rough location, presumably also when they are invisible or in pitch blackness. -o- I don’t know if the target player is alerted to receiving a bounty or not. The problem with bounties in Minecraft is that death isn’t final. You’d have to find another form of punishment to make players want to avoid having their bounty turned in. It can’t be a monetary penalty and it mustn’t be able to be used as a siege mechanism or a way of handicapping a player in PVP. So all in all, I’d recommend sticking with the current system for now. The aforementioned plugin is worth looking at, however.
Yup, you just found our current bounty plugin haha, we use HeroBounty, I haven’t found a better alternative yet.
