Before I get started on this rant, I want to remind everyone that Godsdead has a plan for the economy. He has already brought to our attention that we have to be patient and everything will get better. This post is not in regard to the problem that the economy is suffering or that people are raiding shops, etc, etc. My main concern is as follows:

Earlier this morning (2-3 hours ago) certain individuals took it upon themselves to build a shelter with a gate at the spawn of warp trade. This shelter was locked to prevent anyone from entering warp trade. By preventing individuals from leaving this small hut they aimed cannons at the locked building and shot cannon balls at a few individuals (as a result killing a deckhand, and Emperorlew).  I believe that the sole fact that a public warp can be used to trap other players is an abuse of the privilege.  I know from this moment on the rant may get controversial so I will try to defend my opinion with arguements already provided to me.

Owner of Warp Trade/Allies of Said Owner thoughts

– This warp has been bought by Bislo from months/years back and he has the right to do what he wants.

– Absolutley! I agree that he should keep his warp and he should control it as he wishes. Using a cage to prevent people from leaving the spawn area is not the way to do this. May I suggest a piston contraption that when the time comes that Bislo or anyone wants to prevent the usage of the warp they can block it off? (notsure if that will prevent peope from tping in.) My main concern with a cage built at the area of trade is that it prevents freedom of movement to a public warp. Owning a warp was an awesome perk back in the day and I am sure many of us would like to buy one. Since that is no longer a possibility the owner of warp Trade should not be able to gain an additional teleport to an area of the map (for himself and other allies) and lock others out of it. Trapping individuals (or having the ability to trap individuals) in an enlcosed box, then blow them up is not a fair alternative to preventing warp killing. I personally do not feel safe using a public warp if I could be trapped and killed without the ability to protect my self.

– PVP is a privilege and as Bislo claims, he is not good at it.

–Back to this old rant. (Feel bad for me because I am not good at pvp).  Pirate craft is a pvp server regardless if you like it or not. If you dont want to have pvp then go play creative. However most of us like a balance of PVP and economics and building. Others favor one aspect. Those who favor PVP are usually the ones being called “harrasers” or “bullies”. Is their a term for people who take advantage of their long term playtime and who have been privileged to own a player warp? Who have the ability to trap players at a warp and kill them? Is that not bullying? After reading the above comments someone is going to post but “Chamberlain you warp kill all the time.” YES I do. Let’s get that out of the way. My opinion on killing at warps is as follows:   I usually tp in after the individual is at a warp. When anyone tps to a warp they should expect to be attacked or have conflict and have an escape route. If that player dies with their items they have a choice… TP back to the warp knowing I am probably still there or leave their items and move on.  If they tp back warp killing is no longer a concern. They knowingly accept that I am geared for pvp and they shouldn’t claim harrasment or abuse. Yesterday’s blood bath is a prime example of this. People were returning to warp trade to just jump around and hangout without armor. They did not want to buy items nor did they expect to live very long.

So how do you prevent warp killing? Can you close the warp with blocks like mentioned above? If not you unfortunetly have to deal with the problem with PVP or hopefully GodsDead can create warps that have player shops that are pvp free that individuals cannot tp in or out of. Therefore creating safety inside the warp however having the ability for pirates to attack when a player leaves the safety to TP out. (Just ideas, and again Gods has a plan)

An additional thought, Bislo has one more warp than someone who has Boatswain simply because he has bought it in previous years. He bought it to encourage trade, and help the server. (Admirable) If Bislo is allowed to trap players in this cage of theirs and kill them that is essentially providing another warp for him and his allies to use when the rest of us cannot. I agree with trapping at your base or your crew home. Just not at a player warp where everyone has access to it but only a few have the ability to build there.

Just please get rid of that cage that you have at trade so you cannot blow people who tp in to bits.

Hey guys heres a quick thought

so as a pirate server we have a group of insane people, Builders, crafters,PvPers, ect. So I was thinking who is the best player on the server apart from the guy who does ALL THE WORK (GodsDead) thanks, I thought Kon, SecondDeath, Crysteen, Rep, BlockKing, Champ, and a few more. But some people -_- might think HEY im not on that list or IM better then him ect. So lets HAVE a Building, PVPing, and so on, Olymics to see whos the Best player. Hosted by staff, Every year, A set spot for it ect.

So there would be Groups -Example

(PvP) – shooting the bow while moving, 1v1s agents other players

(Building) – Best house, Timed Best builds with all the same blocks of course so its far

(crafting/harvesting) – Who could get the best stuff in a certain time

Its just an ideal 🙂

Lego and Reptaria Return.

Today the permanent ban on Lego was lifted an event that I have never seen on this server. After a ton of forum threads made to un-ban _Lego_ he was finally released by Godsdead this morning to rejoin the server under a “probation” period (thanks again Godsy). This probation is so that the moderators will make sure that during this time Lego won’t do anything… fishy and will come back to the server fully repentant. Another member that had supposedly left the server was Queen Reptaria of the wood elves. Reptaria had left the server 3 days ago and has just returned today with a changed name and a changed goal for Rep to pursue without being the leader of the elves. Make sure if you see any of these two members that you say hello and a welcome back to the server!
