I will be keeping this short and sweet, as I know this is something we’ve preferred from players.
Hi all. It’s been about 4 years or so since my removal from staff and ban from the server.
I do regret my actions that occurred during the money/item dupe scandal and my part in it. I would hope to be given another chance on the server and to experience the 1.18 update with my friends (I read the blog post, great job on that). I know my assets were removed during my ban, which is fine. I just want to experience the server again with my friends and the community, even with no items.
Gods: I am really sorry for betraying your trust, you were a mentor to me – I hope you can forgive me for my actions and possibly get on good terms again.
Smokey and Vape: I regret acting childish towards you two, you only had the best intentions for the community. My ego got in the way of that..
The Staff: I heavily regret my misconduct whilst being staff, I hope the staff image remained in tact as it did before I was removed.Thank you.

Preface (For context and some basic awareness)
Why is it, as soon as we have a nice long stretch of no drama someone has to go and ruin it, Dirty thieving scrubbers!
I was looking forward to having a nice productive weekend, oh well it’s not like staff have things to do or anything. /s 🙂Let me preface all of this by how staff work; We work like police, only investigating when reports are made or something is found that needs changing/fixing. Its not always perfect but we are human. Nobody is sitting there reading through logs daily trying to pin things on people, we try and respect the community on PirateCraft, anyone that thinks otherwise needs to re-think how moderation should work, consider the police metaphor.
Staff Ethos
I have always hated other servers where their staff team just “appears” while you are trying to play in survival, having someone just teleporting to you breaking all immersion, all their spawned items, shiny god sets, infinite god apples, showering you with items they think you want. This kills the entire point of playing! You don’t want these items, or money, you don’t want to see them! The entire point of playing survival is to earn your own items and money. If someone is just generating infinite items and giving them out “just because” it ruins your game, then there is nothing to play for.
That’s why you never see me in armour, that’s why I ask to teleport (most times lol) It’s a mindset I’ve always had, as I’ve played on shit servers. This is also why nobody on staff has gm1, this is why nobody on staff can create items or money, this is survival! Yarr!
Creating items and money from nothing isn’t acting as “Robin hood”, this is a mindset that dousnt understand how a survival server runs. Handing out infinite items/money just break gameplay, completely for an entire server, which is why this is such a serious issue that a small pocket of players have dramatically impacted the server for their selfish, thoughtless destruction over 2 years. We still don’t know the full effect this has had on the server as a whole as we only found out about it yesterday evening, at 11pm!What happened?
Last night I found 3 craftsmen (staff builder rank) were using their staff ability to edit signs to give themselves infinite money and dupe items using the shop plugin over the course of 2 years. The shop plugin wasn’t checking for permissions when shop signs were edited by the third party plugin, only created directly. This allowed admin signs for generating income/free items to be made with no supply needed. We have so far tracked 10.1 Million in-game money generated from nothing; total from 3 players, 9.1 Million from one player alone and an infinite amount of items (including custom items) duplicated (same player) with ibuy (OP only sign) signs. 95% of this is one player: KetohPie. This was by no means a one off and was extremely abused, I’m talking multiple max balances of 240,000 a DAY being sent out.Fixing this mess
We already started attempting cleanup (Lol, 2 years this money is long in the system!); We have been clearing inventories/Echests and vaults from these players involved taking this money & generating it.
I have avoided removing money from those that sold items to KetohPie, as you may not have known this was happening and wouldn’t be fair to punish those for his cheating. We’ve not collected items from people before, the idea being, this player is now banned, instead of locking the items up, we could auction off these custom items and remove some large chunks of money from the eco.We’ve never had to do this kind of moderation before as we’ve never had duplicating/money generation on this scale. 10.1 million was laundered between players all the way back since 2016. Player accounts are limited to 250k, so moneys been given away fast.
I’ve followed the money trail, and some balances of players have had money removed, we’ve been talking to players, checking chat logs, checking server logs, transaction logs to figure out if money was “Just sent” or items sold, It’s just tedious so the top offenders have been denoted from, Funny it was mostly all one crew?More people involved
Turns out a lot of people knew about this and were abusing it, either directly or indirectly.
Including The_Network (Previous admin believe it!), he was in on it from Day 1, so he’s been removed and banned, alongside other things I’ve found out in the last week or so, sharing staff chats with crews, bias moderating, the list goes on, I don’t really want to have to get into all the nitty gritty and start a witch-hunt, he’s gone.The other two partners in crime editing the signs at cove was Rivvur who took 100,000 in in-game cash (Nearly all paid back), and moossolini who took just short of 1 million (A far amount to be repaid). Both of these worked with staff to try and pay their debts in as many resources/claim blocks as possible to reclaim this stolen in-game money, both Rivvur and moossolini received permanent ban. In the near future resources collected will be auctioned off.
This goes way deeper, but there’s only so much I can put into a boring fourm post! No need for all the drama, but I still wanted this all to be clear and transparent to all players on PirateCraft.
Im extremely disappointed that a multiple staff members I trusted, really trusted have known about this entire scenario for years since it stared, and abused it, even after I warned all craftsmen from day 1 when I created the rank that this bug existed and not to attempt to use it. How fast 2 years can wizz buy eh!? I guess I should have listened to my own staff ethod to just not trust anyone that has the possibility to dupe.
What about the money
The moneys in the economy now, it’s been in there a long time, changed hands many times by now! But it doesn’t mean we still cant do some cleanup and run a auction! I think people may like to have an opportunity to get their hands on an old custom item that will never be made again! We have no eta as we still have a lot of cleanup and research to keep doing, every time we get back into it we find something new!
Ahoy! I thought since our /staff was years out of date I would tackle it tonight, and it took me the entire evening!
/staff now shows all online staff including helpers, builders and build leaders now, /staff 2 lists all staff and their commands and I have moved the inactive staff to an inactive panel so players now know who the active staff are.
- I have re-formatted /staff and /staff 2 to reflect staff online and list all current and inactive staff.
- Role change, The_Network will no longer be dealing with any moderation and was moved from RearAdmiral to Housewright, from Admin to Build Leader, so he no longer has any moderation/admin tools, but can now promote/demote craftsman (builder) across all servers and is building a build team, so get in contact on discord.piratemc.com.
- Role change, creeprr was moved from Housewright (build leader) to shipwright (Developer) and will be working on custom plugins/fixing broken plugins, shipwright is the same color in game as housewright so not much change apart from title for creeprr at present!
- Removed ranks from inactive staff: javainvader, PaulOnFire, Chailey, KellyYore, they are all welcome back if they start to playing again.
- Created missing /Maximus_Terragon, /lazydog11, /emielreijs, /pythonace, /The_Network, /creeprr (updated lucky to /_freke_)
These will be active from the next restart. - Updated /mountainrasta and /Lawzoneon to have the right colored usernames.
Now at some point I need to update the website Team page.

Some key points before I start (very similar to Paul’s original post):
- This is based off data from the 16th July 2018. It is entirely possible that people have changed crews, come back from inactivity, or founded new crews in the meantime.
- The crews are ranked according to number of active players
- ‘Active players’ count as any players that were active in the last 30 days
- Some crew descriptions from the last list have been carried forward, as long as they are still relevant and/or the exact same crew
- I have tried to avoid 1 or 2 man crews, such as my own, and will only be including a few that are of mention
- The crew names are spelt as they are in-game, including typos and spacing issues. I might have types some of the player names wrong, but please don’t rip my head off because of that.
- There are a LOT of crews I don’t know anything about. Feel free to post more information below!

- Terminology (these are my definitions, not official ones):
- ‘Empire/Kingdom’ – A generally peaceful crew with anti-pirate intentions; featuring a distinctive government or leadership system, split into mostly the ruling class, generals and officials, and common folk
- ‘Empire – esque’ – A generally peaceful crew with characteristics of empire crews, but who give more control to the non-leaders, or have a completely separate system. These are usually considered pretty chill crews.
- ‘Collective crew’ – A crew with mixed intentions, whereby almost every member has an input in running the crew. There isn’t much in the form of hierarchy – mostly group decisions.
- ‘Pirate crew’ – A crew with either anti-empire crew intentions, stealing and pillaging, or working as hired mercenaries. They are usually the smallest crews, but are seen as the greatest threat to peace for empire crews. There are some exceptions.
- ‘Mafia crew’ – An organized international body of criminals that work together to achieve common goals.
- If it just says ‘crew’ then the crew either doesn’t fit any of those descriptions above, or I just don’t know. I don’t want endless terms used; that can wait for another post :I

Hello Its Nahadoth,
I saw that there was apparently some issues with what Hydra has and hasn’t done. Below I have included several screenshots from 3/26/2018. We discussed in it, the fact that Hydra stalks online players and tries to find out where they live and any personal information they can. This has already been proven, and confirmed by Great_Man_7 a member of Hydra which you will see in the chat. For staff, Smokeyriver already knows that they were stalking players, and gave them a last warning that anything else would be a perm ban for all of them. The issue with Hydra stalking mystic’s Mom Facebook, and seeing that his dog has died is true. This was also discussed in the conversation bellow and confirmed when Great_Man_7 said yes they may have gone too far. What they did was, they named a dog after Mystic’s recently passed dog, in game, and killed it in front of mystic. Its head dropped so they put it on and ran around while laughing at him and making crude jokes. The_Network can confirm this, he was present at the time in game while he was still a moderator. Mystic figured because The_Network was not doing anything against hydra for it, it was okay so he didnt press charges at the time. This is once again confirmed in the chat below I am providing, and I am sure The_Network will confirm that this event did occur. I trust in the staff to be truthful, its why I love the staff here in PMC. This is not to cause more drama but provide evidence for what has truly occurred.

Banned By: The_NetworkAlright, before I get started, this is more of a request to lift the Permanent ban and have it set back to the 3 month temp-ban. I do know that I messed up and I would like to explain myself. First off I would like to apologize to Godsdead and The_Network for lying to you both about the “alternate account” part of the ban. Lying is not a good thing to do, especially to people you consider to be friends. I do not want to go into personal reasons as to why I lied about it, as I do not want to make it sound like I am trying to get sympathy for something I did. Which I do now come to regret the decision I made, as I never realized how much I enjoyed playing on this server until I ripped myself away from it. (The official reason I was banned was Use of Alternate Accounts and Repeated Door Glitching.) The “Alternate Account” or Exonere, was an Irl friend of mine that I had brought to the server to originally help me quit by “raiding” me. During her time on the server she said that she had enjoyed it so I bought her a rank, and over the next few days she had decided to leave. I did not want to charge back a donation to the server so I left it at that. I decided to go back on my decision to quit and have all the stuff returned to me right before she left. A period of time went by and I had an opportunity to raid Hydra and I took it and in the process I door glitched to get into their head room (Ill go over why I did this to them in a different forum post, as the reason is messed up and may start drama.) I am not excusing why I glitched, as it is breaking the rules and I take full responsibility for that. I know that I lied to staff and was banned for it, which I am glad that they did, as it proves that the staff on this server do their job as they should. I am just here explaining what actually happened and that I was not using an alternate account. If you need further explanation just pm me in discord,or reply here and I will do my best to explain any questions you want.

Other changelog:
- Updated the PvP death messages to have its own icon, PvP prefix, some have the item and all item names have been added.
- Updated /me formatting, since its now handed by the chat plugin we have more options on how its displayed for who.
- Prefixed with a purple *, username is gray, writing is white but now ITALIC to emphasis you are talking in third person, but it fits in more with normal chat, instead of being purple. People were just using it to stand out in chat to advertise their shops.
- Donators /me messages show in purple, they also have a hover over message on their me message.
- Updated NPC click for book plugin, it currently wont show books at spawn or any other npcs.
- Updated the Claim plugin to include some custom debug code to try and figure out why some people are loosing claim blocks, so from tomorrows reboot, after that date if you loose claim blocks please message a staff member of the time and we can look at the logs to try and diagnose the issue for the developers.
