Current status: OPEN AND RUNNING 1.10.2 

Updates:

• Test server is now on the latest 1.10.2
• Chairs broke, I will look into another replacement
• Custom mobs broke, Ill talk to the dev about getting a development build for 1.10.
• Live map is at http://test.piratemc.com:8123/ It wont have any tiles generated as I did not transfur these to the test server as it was insane sizes and would have taken hours just to do this alone!
• I got a weird kick for a “GodsDead lost connection: Internal Exception: java.io.IOException: Error while read(…): Connection reset by peer”
  I guess this is bungee that needs updating on the main server.
• + So far so good with plugins, Thank you to all the amazing testers.
• + Siege is on and working now with no more dupe (please do test it)
• + Apparently sweeping was fixed
• + Animals are protected again in claims from fire arrows
• Claimed polor bears can attack you but you cant attack them back, report made to GriefPrevention.
• Whitelist removed, everyone can access it now. /server test and /server survival to get back.

PirateCraft 1.10.2 Test team needed!

Its not up yet, but lets plan ahead! Im going to do all 1.10.2 Testing on a separate duplicate server to try and catch bugs before we go global, hopefully everything goes fine, There is no ETA so don’t ask, I know its been a long time since 1.10 dropped, but hopefully that should work in our favor with less bugs and updated plugins. To get yourself on the whitelist for the test server please reply to this forum post.

The test server was built using today’s backups from 5th August 2016, backups are from 9.30am this morning BST, so that’s where you will spawn/inventory/echest everything will be from this time, it wont be from where you have just left off on the main survival, take this into consideration, I will explode and kill you if you say “There is an issue, I don’t have X in my inventory/chest/whatever” because this message has not been read and understood, this is vital to not getting your head bitten off by me and kicked from the test server.

I made it simple, its /server test to get onto the test server and /server survival to get back to the main server, this way you can check between the two very fast and without going to the main menu!

Nothing will be saved on the test server, so do whatever you want, blow everything up, test every plugin, spend every penny, try everything out in chat, it won’t be saved, this is an entirely separate server in a different part of the world 🙂

The idea behind this is that you can literally test everything you could think possible and try and find any broken plugins or issues with 1.10.2

Why white list?

We did this before without a whitelist and people came on and didnt actually test and just made everyone that was testing’s life harder as they just came in chat and asked questions about the update and didn’t actually help, they just got in the way and wound people up, There will be a follow up post for everything, you can ask questions in this thread, not in-game if you have a question and don’t want to test, thats fine, just don’t expect to come onto the test server just to ask questions, that will piss everyone off.

So who wants to help me test everything?

Reply below with your minecraft username and Ill add you to the whitelist when im ready, and I will tag you in a new forum post here when its up and ready 🙂 Anyone that finds any bugs/issues/broken plugins, can post issues in this thread or if its a security issue PM me direct. I will reward anyone that helps out.

Im off for 4-5 hours to do some things IRL, so made this post to get the ball rolling!

so, after a long time using forums I’ve found a bug that allows me to check posts in a private group by clicking on a player that has posted in the group and I can both read and like the post, it’s gone on for quite a while and is a very popular bug, please fix.
