Thanks Godsdead for a nice surprise drop party last night : ) Here’s a few screens from the moshpit.

Let’s do some briefing: What has been said in this topic for now. Pros & Cons with /bottle.

Pros:

1. Helps ranking up
2. Can store xp for players
3. XP can be “an item” which can be traded

Cons:

1. Can be “abused” if the “double xp plugin” are added to the server
2. Are making the survival easier for players
3. Can be used in pvp to help mending gear/armor (makes a battle last longer – seems to be a con to me)
4. Removing the /bottle will make an xp bottle give 1-7 exp pr bottle, which in average makes each bottle drop 4,75 times less exp – rich players will lose hard obtained exp.
5. “Removing /bottle will make the gap between rich and poor even bigger”

Let’s say we want to keep the /bottle, the solution to “con 1.” could be not adding the “double xp plugin,” or somehow make the xp go straight into the xpbar. The solution to “con 2.” could be charging 30-40 exp instead of 20 each bottle – which also are the solution to “con 4.” people won’t lose exp. “Con 3” seems hard to fix – maybe make the exp go straight into the bar? won’t mend armor or tools. “Con 5” isn’t a problem if you ask me, it will solve itself over time.

Now let’s say we want to remove the /bottle plugin. We will then have to live without the pros. To live without “pro 1.” we could (as godsdead already suggested) remove or decrease the amount of exp you need to rankup. To live without “pro 2.” we could simply just live without it lol, it’s not a big problem if you ask me. what do we say when a new player joins the server and ask for goods? “It’s a survival server mate, you can’t just get free goods out of nothing.” “pro 3” could for sure be fixed with some other plugin, if needed.

So at this time i haft to agree with @godsdead, This should be removed and there are many reason why. 1 it is OP with being able to store this you will all ways have the option to mend you gear without doing the work at the time, This is making a issue in PVP as if you mend why fighting you just keep going and it never ends. 2 you should be able to go get XP when needed, i agree it is very easy to get, the many ways to get XP is simply by mining ores give you XP, Killing mobs, along with if you have a good villy farm you can trade with clerics to get XP bottles and it is pretty cheap, along with just trading with your villys give you XP and this will mend and repair you gear and tools as you are picking the XP up, that is a simple solution to it in its own. This game is getting to easy to play and at some point a difficulty needs to be put back in place. I Vote to remove this and everyone learn how the game works, learn how to use XP as the game intended.

The guy calls himself the ‘King’, refers to everyone else as ‘N1ggers’. The thing is, although he hacks, he’s a deckie with no gear, and he starts afresh every time he joins; which basically makes him an easy kill. Try not to respond to him too much, I’m sure he’ll get bored and feck off.

Welcome back Raven! I cant remember why I got rid of it, I think it was just putting out a mess of adverts for 1 cent, wasn’t worth it.

I can predict, with ease, godsy’s reply.

Search the forums, and you’ll find this isn’t a new idea. I’m guessing around 20 of these threads have been made now, with the main point being that siege mechanics (with relations to ships and cannons) needs to change, and that ships themselves need to change.

Because of this, godsdead is currently working on a second world, where teleporting is disabled, and where ship combat will be commonplace. 😉

Well, it seems to be a mistake from GodsDead’s reaction, im sure he’ll sort it out 🙂
