I know you’re all super interested in GDPR, Its super interested getting alerted of Privacy Policy changes, so I thought I would join the club!
Our privacy policy has always been linked at the bottom of the website, bottom right if you ever want to look at it, super interesting stuff /s.
I didn’t think you needed yet ANOTHER email telling you that someone has updated their Privacy Policy, so this forum thread will serve as notice enough.
What is GDPR?
How have you got this far without being alerted about the GDPR..
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Drawn up by the EU, it strengthens the data rights of EU residents and harmonises data protection law across all member states, making it identical, it replaces the data protection act of 1998, basically (If you live in the EU sorry Merca) you can request a website or company to bin off all your data or show it to you, they also have to be open with what they store on you.
PirateCraft & GDPR
The TLDR of it is, we don’t store any personal information really, just what you register with and your IP, so there’s not much too it, if you want your website account deleted them ping me a message, this will also delete all your comments, forum threads and everything, if you want to know whats stored, then click on your profile, nothing is hidden from you.
All payment information/name/addresses linked to that payment information for store payments is stored with third parties; BuyCraft, Paypal and Stripe depending on what you use, I do not store any of this information, Links to each of these third party services GDPR policies are linked in our privacy policy in-case you fancied reading them. Buycraft have a self-service system to view/delete all your information off their systems.

I already listed what information was recorded way before all this GDPR. I’m all for tighter laws on people tracking me online! I believe in protecting your identity online, we are Pirates after all!
Either way, I had to update the Privacy policy for the people out there that don’t know what a Cookie is, or what Google Analytics is, I have added that to the Privacy Policy, Feel free to education yourselves, its not interesting.
Does this affect me and should I be worried?
No.
I don’t store much information on you, and we don’t know who 95% of you actually are anyway, you are mostly anonymous bar your IP, but that still doesn’t tell us who you are. I don’t sell emails when you sign up or any information recorded on PirateCraft at all, Never have never will.
If I have missed something off the policy for GDPR ping me a message on discord, its very vague. I should have most of it covered.
Results
Forgot to make a results post for the ship battle at the end of March, so I’m doing a double whammy here. Largest number of ships in battle, and utter chaos for me trying to get it to work haha – don’t worry, things will be different once the arena is created. A post will follow up on that shortly. Thanks for taking part everyone.
Both battles were split into 2 parts, with a roughly 15-20 minute break after 30 minutes of fighting. I can’t remember much from ship battle #9, and im really tired, so I’m only going to cover results. I know lots of people recorded this time – so that should be awesome.

It was a boring 4-way draw to put it short. I’m thinking of new ways to determine a winner, so I trialed a % of ship left victory method for ship battle #10. Due to the chaos and uncertainty of this particular battle, and the outcome, no winner will be declared and the ships will not be added to the tally of winning ships.

It was officially a 4-way tie again, so i’m not adding any names to the tally of ‘winners’ in the description. However, I did measure the % of the orginal ship still left once the battle was over and handed out prizes accordingly. These are as follows:
- Phantom Narwhal – 93.4%
- Giulio Cesare (second one) – 85.5%
- Shadow Voyager – 80.2%
- Iron Duke (second one) – 72.4%
An apology.
I am aware that a lot of people enjoyed the battle, however I know of some individuals who may have misunderstood the rules and as such blown up ships with TNT, and/or killed crew members via boarding. This rule will be enforced differently in future, so sorry.
I would also like to apologize for the chaos, and the ‘unfair advantage’ that some crews had by having a brand new copy of their ship copied in during the break. Future battles will be held differently, and more organized with me being on full-time ‘ship battle moderator’ – so i won’t be taking part in ships battles in future directly.
Congratulations to all teams that survived the onslaught, and thanks for taking part. I’m looking forward to the screenshots/videos people have recorded! Godsy managed to record the whole battle and he may be able to use some of the material for a piratecraft trailer!
There will be a followup post in a few days explaining my intentions for future battles – including how to make it more organised, fair, and hopefully fun. I’ll have a chat with godsy, and lay out the possibilities for you guys. :))

PirateCraft Crew, led by KryoRage. Status: Neutralwhy turn off fire spread. I like to burn stuff. Fire can also be very useful in clearing land. Plus barely anyone even sails. And if your ship gets burned while in dock that’s your problem for not claiming it. So please turn on firespread.
So do the other 100,000 players we have had on PirateCraft, thats a lot of people burning down forests, then we have new peolpe join the server and only see destroyed land.
I have to admit after turning this off, its so much nicer to have forests around the map.
Awesome, why not merge it with the Official one?

[changelog] Official PirateCraft resource pack started! Help build it!
Actually im super glad you brought this up, Since I found out its really simple to have thousands of custom items based on custom items in-game, Resource pack and Optifine are needed, but most people can deal with that. Its cool, it means you can say have 500 Diamond hoes that all have their own custom textures, or we could say theme black carpet to look like bones on the floor or something.
Topic: PirateCraft Texture Pack!
I started working on this pack a couple weeks ago and over the past while started to get very demotivated to work on it as i couldnt come up with idea’s for the pack and progress started getting really slow. I thought i’d put this up on the forums as nearly a “PMC pack V1” to let yous see what its like so far and to give suggestions below on what i should do with it.
So this pack is a 64×64 pack although some items that i have taken from other packs i’ve made in the past are 16×16 as i normally make pvp related packs, Aswell as the server’s Custom items will be in 128×128 to add in more detail and make them that bit more special.
Im not good at forum posts so im just going to make a bullet point list on what i have done on the pack and what i have plans to do on it next.
What has been done on the pack:
- All swords have been fully redrawn by me from scratch to make them into a pirate cutlass, i started off drawing the diamond sword and then just changed the blade colour to make the others.
- Fully redrew the Ender Pearls to make them into a “Black Pearl” and put the pmc logo inside it.
- Fully redrew both Drinkable potions and Splash Potions to be more piraty and look like Rum bottles (splash varients have a handle on the side, was going for a moonshine style bottle but couldnt make it rounder as the potion overlay had to be the same for both splash and drinkable)
- Swapped out the Bow texture for a flintlock texture (i took this design from another pack but i have redrawn it in 64×64 instead of 16×16 as i have plans to make a custom one in the future)
- Made it so when you have a Power V bow the bow texture changes from a flintlock to a Musket as this is i think a more powerful gun (musket was fully drawn by me)
- Fully redrew arrows to make them look like bullets to match the guns
- Drew textures for both XP Tokens and Doubloons, these textures only apply to these custom items and both gold ingots and gold nuggets stay the same. (Doubloons are drawn the same as the Doubloons from the Pirates of the Caribbean Movie)
What i have Plans to do in the future:
- Draw my own custom Flintlock so as the pack is fully drawn by me
- Draw Custom tools so they are more piraty
- Draw Custom Golden apples and apples so they are different then the ones i use for my pvp packs
- Draw Custom textures for all of the ingots/ores like gold, iron, diamonds (diamonds are from my pvp packs)
- Draw Custom Particles for the pack so it isent the same as my pvp packs
These are just some of the ideas i have for this pack and i’d love to get some suggestions on what to add next, i will more then likly keep this post as a Change Log type post for updates on the pack and new download links for the newer versions.

I don’t know what happened to my post, but I will just try to post it again.
So this week I was wondering, the forums is mostly filled with ban appeals recently and I wanted to think of something what I could post to change that. I ended up with Song Parodys! Yes, Parodys of well known players or crews of the server and have a song about them.
Please notice: Not ALL the context in the songtext is 100% true, the text is based on true facts but some parts may or may not have been adjusted to fit with the song. And I hope none of the people the song is about feel offended, otherwise I will instantly remove the parody on that persons wish. New Parodys will just be added in comments by time of finishing, feel free to create your own if you feel like it!
I decided to start with the Hydra crew, since they have their very own method of raiding people and have made themselves a name on the server, heres the result:

So this weekend I was a little bit bored and somehow ended up with the idea of creating Song Parodys related to our wonderful Piratecraft server! Also I felt like we need to fill the forum with more fun stuff and not mostly bug reports and ban appeals..
Please take into consideration that these parodys aren’t ment to offend anyone, nor are they 100% true, they take some of the actions that happened on the server and are just changed to fit with the song.
Since drama or well known people would suit the best for this I decided to start with a parody about the crew Hydra, they are known for their very own method of raiding and this is what I ended up with. More Parodys will be added in the comments on this thread once they are completed. Have fun singing it!
