@GodsDead But I don’t know if I want to enter… I never asked xD
June 27, 2015 at 7:00 pm #16332I was fighting the donator Hamboning and I killed him and his items were all on the floor. Normally, I would have been able to pick through the loot and take the choicy pieces, but Ham instantly repeated the /back command twice in quick succession as soon as he died. He picked up all of his items and my computer didn’t even render him before he returned to safety. I told him that he abused /back and his response got me pretty angry.
Something definitely needs to be done so donators can’t instantly retrive their items and then piss off the players they killed and trash talking players that don’t have captain rank. It really ruins the mood of the server and just gets everyone pissed off.
I personally think a 5 second tp delay and 10 second command timer need to be put on /back so something like this doesn’t happen againAttachments:

June 24, 2015 at 7:07 am #16064June 22, 2015 at 10:16 pm #15969After the battle that took place at @michty’s town today, I need to change my stance on the matter.
Hardtimez has had an offensively placed /sethome just outside the town for a few days now, and comes by from time to time to harass the residents. We are at war with each other, so really it’s no big deal. Usually, everyone just hides and eventually he goes away.
Earlier today, though, Hardtimez’ crew attacked, and there were enough British crew members online to defend the town and defeat them. Using either /home or /back, he returned about 30 seconds later to continue the fight. Whenever one of his crew members died, they would instantly be /tpahere’d back into the fight. The problem is that if all players teleport back as soon as they die, a siege can literally last forever. There are auto jail mechanics which are supposed to prevent this, but there were enough players involved that no one alone killed a single individual enough times to trigger them. The only ways to end such a siege are to kill all of the attackers at the exact same time (almost physically impossible), or for the attackers to get bored and leave. This particular conflict lasted for almost half an hour, and only stopped because Godsdead came on and jailed Hardtimez.
The purpose of /back and /sethome isn’t to allow a Donator’s crew the ability to siege for an infinite amount of time. If Donators aren’t going to use the perks responsibly, then the perks should be less overpowered.
I support both a delay and a cooldown on /back and /home.

June 21, 2015 at 11:23 pm #15852@GodsDead I was just wondering if I am using /back to get to someones base so I can collect more of the items from the raid is that considered abusing /back
Obviously this is abuse…

June 20, 2015 at 9:26 am #15766I think what bugs people is the massive PVP advantage instant tping gives you. As Godsdead says, especially the /back command. From what I’ve seen, many raid abuse glitches (backforcing anyone?) and like 90% of harassment cases are because of donators using /back constantly.
A slightly negative downside to instant teleports is that player-made traps have no effects on donators. Fall traps, lava traps, piston traps, suffocation traps… All a donator has to do is /home and he or she doesn’t lose anything and can even teleport back again instantly using /back. If teleports had 1 second delay for donators as well (basically nothing), it would prevent them from being able to cheaply escape from certain death scenarios.
On a side note, if a donator is going to lose a PVP battle, all they have to do is sprint away for 15 seconds (which CANNOT be caught up with if the donator is any good at running) and instantly do /home. I was once in the same situation when fighting Karim. My crew got overpowered and I was the last man standing. Instead of dying and losing prot IV, I decided to leg it. I must have run for like 5 minutes before I dared do /home. Because IF someone had been right behind me when I stopped, they could easily have caught up in the 5 seconds teleport delay and slaughtered me. When I did do /home, the wait felt like forever. But it made the run and the panic feel all the more worthwhile.
However, I do feel that last option is a perfectly ok perk for donators if they want it that much. The 15 second PVP delay is there for a reason after all.
It’s the traps that bug me personally, as a redstone architect should have the option of defending his base with brains, not just with brawn. It’s also the only way many people will ever score a kill against an OP player.

June 19, 2015 at 9:06 pm #15718GodsDead, can you reset the teleportation timer for donators. I mean its a unfair advantage that a player with diamond armor. Was running from someone who would kill him and he couldn’t escape because the moment he finishes the command he dies. But, if a donator was in danger. If he does the command he will be in a safe territory in a instant. So can you simply just make the donator teleportation speed be at least 2-3 seconds.
Edited by GodsDead.
Instead of me making a new thread, can any donators please reply to this thread about me adding a cooldown timer due to PVP abuse, I have added a poll but all the PVP abusers have obviously voted for not to have it, so this thread will act as a way to express how you feel about adding a cooldown.

@GodsDead, I don’t need to as I can guarantee that nothing will get stolen, though if something would (not at all possible within the rules of the server), I would contact the victim immediately to sort out some form of compensation 🙂

Hey @godsdeads @crazypirate1 and @reptraia how about a /crew bal and /crew pay [amount] , so maybe we could have are own goverment fees for things like breaking the law of a crew…or selling to external players or just to donate to the crew so we have money for projects.
