well reaper imma gonna have to desagree with u this time: minechat is a great way of chatting there is a risk because players can kill you and at the start of minechat you go to spawn so if you were mining or something it will tp you out of there.some players like me do it for the claims and to maintain chat. but i also do it so i dont miss out on the chat.1 more thing if you use the live map it lags more then if u use minechat. o yea belive it or not no one can use minechat on the server minechat dosent have 1.8 there are other systems that are in 1.8.

well in cases like mine, my phone doesnt respond well to the live map, got me a windows phone and they cant do half of what the iphone and that do.

but as solid has said, it physical logs you in so players can easily attack and siege you during your time chatting away.

i can understand you wanting to reset claims for players using it to boost, just dont go lower then what they had when they log in, cause like today, i been away for a bit so i logged in using chat to chat with who evers online, if i then came home to find that all the claims i earned was gone, i wouldnt see much point in playing that day at all.

is there no way to detect, if a player is using the chat and use a system that stops adding to there claims, like i said when im logging on cause i wanna chat like when im at a friends or something, i dont wanna be classed as cheating, i just wanna chat with my peeps.

i dont mind losing the building of my claims, just dont wanna lose what ive earned cause i wanna chat with <insert pirate name> about a contract when i cant get to a computer.

You guys, no one is saying you can’t use minechat to CHAT with your friends.

What Reaper is saying is that AFK PEOPLE using minechat will have stats reset. If you are logging on specifically to chat, and you log out when you are not chatting, then there is no problem.

If you are logging on to chat for 5 minutes, then decide to just idle instead of logging out so you can abuse the gaining of claims and other in game things via idling, then you are breaking the rules.

Easy fix to this situation for minechat users?

Log in when you want to chat, log out when you are done, before you go afk.

It’s really, really not hard guys. Log in to chat, log out when done. If you do this you will never be afk on minechat, and no one will do anything to your account or stats.

No one is hating on users for logging on minechat to chat; the problem here is users who STAY logged in minechat when they are done chatting, to rack up claims and other things. Reaper even said the way he’d punish is by checking AFK USERS! If you are chatting you won’t be afk, so there is absolutely no issue here unless you are guilty of gaming the stats.
