Hello.

I would like to make an application for the media team. This post shall be a brief outline of why I believe I would make a good candidate for the position, however it will most likely not contain all details I expect will be necessary for the application process. If there is an interest in my application and you require any further information please pm me what you need to know and I will be happy to answer.

Relevant skills/qualities:

– Writing. I am able to write comprehensively and fluently. Here is an example of a post I made a while ago in which I demonstrate this skill.

– Photoshop. I know how to use this program and I have access to computers loaded with it. (My personal computer as well as the ones at my college.)

– Reliability. I first joined the server well over a year ago, and since then I have racked up a good deal of playtime. I am regularly online so as such should have no trouble meeting deadlines, and I enjoy taking photographs then using them to create a final refined product so will have the motivation to punctually complete any tasks set to me.

How did this application go?
I remember it as professional. I am not sure how many media commissioners the server has, but considering that the Build of the Month competition has sometimes issues of stability, I would personally support an addition to the media team.

I didn’t get tagged, I never saw it!

These are looking good;
1. These are very small resolutions, any chance you are able to take larger resolution shots?
2. If I send you a PirateCraft logo to watermark, are you able to do that with transparency in photoshop?
3. What shaders/resource pack combo are these? There may be some settings we can tweak to improve the look
4. What FPS do you get when you use shaders?

Over the past two days I’ve been working on your points, and in order to adress your concerns I have done the following:

I’ve taken screenshots in a higher resolution and worked on one in photoshop making small changes to produce what is in my opinion a better image. If you send me a piratecraft logo it will be a simple procedure to add it as a watermark so if you do I can post my results tomorrow, including the image I have been working on. The shader pack I used is SEUS shaders and I also used Ovo’s rustic redemption resource pack, one I personally like but can be changed with no problem. Regarding your question on my fps I typically get between 5 – 10 when using the shaders.

It will be a simple procedure to add the piratecraft logo as a watermark so if you send me one I can add this to the image I have been working on and post my results tommorow. I used the SEUS shader pack and Ovo’s rustic redemption resource pack (one I personally like but can be changed with no problem) when taking the screenshots. My fps when using shaders fluctuates between 5 and 10.
