for the trialing system, may I suggest you select players using their forums stars thing? I forget what you called it, but the number of stars under your name on the forums could be used as a scale to determine what permissions you have. that would prevent players from making a million accounts to just spam the map/chat *coughwasteoflifeelexcough*. so players with say 3-4 or more stars get to use the map chat thing, vs players that have 1 or 2, since they aren’t active on forums as much. and if it gets abused by a specific player, remove their perms. this is just my thoughts ^-^

i remember when the claims were on the map, there were a ton of overlapping boxes everywhere lol

No, I mean, that if I trial 1 person to set the standard to see how they use the chat; If its just them going “Lol” “Why are you in my base” kind of things, then maybe its not worth enabling it.

Gods, it saddens me to say this, but I do agree with your statement.. a lot of players would most likely just use the chat for things like that. theres a lot of combat loggers that stalk the map waiting for when it’s clear to log back in, and usually their first replies are along the lines of “haha, couldnt get me” “nub” “get rekt cant raid me”. I have seen many replies like this and I feel like it would flood map chat….

and build, yes, sadly I do agree with your statement as well. though it is still an idea to consider, with some tweaking.
