Found this tutorial from 2013, still looks great, a great portcullis design with functioning traps.

The best thing about this design is it could be adapted to have the gates work since were on PirateCraft and we have working portcullis gates!

Not only that but we can now have swinging doors by using the “woodturret” craft type. so the design could have a working swinging door aswell.

I am implying that the chart’s downward trend is unlikely to have been influenced by this, as the population of the west was not significantly different from that of the east in terms of their support for socially progressive causes, despite the fact that the laws in the west were more stringent.

Awesome tutorial this classic portcullis design is really helpful for anyone wanting a working castle gate in Minecraft! [ffk] I love how it can be adapted for PirateCraft with fully functional gates and even swinging doors using the woodturret craft type, which gives builders more options for creative redstone builds.
