Hey everyone,

recently I passed my 1 year mark

and I want to thank you all.

I made a lot of friends and allies

I built a home

but I was never alone,

I always had a friend standing by my side.

Lazydog11 told me how to claim my first home,

and soon after that i met Nado.

I can tell you he is one of a kind and a real good friend,

he is always watching my back and helps me when I am in trouble.

After Nado joined the BE I was alone for a while, but everyone always helped me.

Soon I got invited to live in Gloombay,

and I can tell you I’m proud to live there. Its the place I call home,

the place where I always will be safe and protected by my friends.

Along with living in Gloombay came my first big ally the BE,

and with thank to the BE I now have a whole Island and met all the wonderful people I know today.

I now know people who are really good with redstone and mapping places out, like Gildor.

I met everyone a person like me needs to survive here.

I met PVPers good and bad, I met farmers, I met brewers. You name it and I or a friend knows someone.

And to all those people who helped me here and make me the happy player I am today, I want to say:

THANK YOU and I hope to have many wonderful years with you.

AppleJK reminded me during a conversation a few weeks ago that the active crew list needs updating. So I’ve prepared a new list in time for new year 2017.

First off, I’d like to make some points clear:

1. This is based off data from the 28th and 29th December 2016. It is entirely possible that people have changed crews, come back from inactivity or founded new crews in the meantime.
2. The crews are ranked alphabetically (omitting “The” from the title). The listed players are all the crew members who have been active in the past 30 days. They are listed chronologically with the active crew leaders at the beginning. Anyone who hasn’t been active in that time frame is not included. That includes crew leaders.
3. The crew names are spelt as they are in-game, including typos and spacing issues. I might have typed some of the player names wrong, but please don’t rip my head off because of that. I can’t help it if someone named themselves something untypable like xXxn3P4HanTeeM7824xXx…

The government of the British Empire hereby denounces build1115’s attempts at slandering the British Empire’s reputation. In recent times he has been making an assertive effort to portray past events in a false light. His purpose is to defame the British Empire in front of friends and foe alike and damage longstanding ties.

In contrary to build1115’s claims, 13C and BE have always enjoyed a very close and trustworthy alliance. Indeed, we have even led a unique “special relationship” (which does not involve adult activities in any shape or form).

Our two crews share both a similar theme and a similar mentality. We share 17th century “golden age of piracy” theme with similar architecture and similar uniform skins. We are both fiercely advocates of freedom and democracy. We have mutually fought side-by-side in almost every conflict since we entered our relationship. We have connected the British colonies of Canada, Karjat, Whiskey Peak and Fort Fang to the northern 13C territories with a vast road network. We have supported 13C in reaffirming themselves against USE (United States Empire).

In spring 2016, before the implementation of /a chat, 13C crew leader NickyB_123 approached the BE and proposed that 13C merge with BE. He would continue to lead 13C, but both crews would share one private chat together. The proposal passed in a referendum and 13C was permitted access to BE forum space. NickyB_123 received an honorary position in the British government with the same rights as a Lord of the British Empire.

Soon thereafter, the crew plugin was updated with the new feature of /a chat. This meant the merger between BE and 13C for coordination purposes was no longer relevant. NickyB_123 asked the government whether 13C could split off again so as to grow his crew independently. There was a referendum and it was universally accepted that 13C should be allowed to leave.

Around about the same time, there was a war going on between Templar and BE. BE hoped that LoN (BE, EE, 13C, XE, IE, LR) would stick together as they had in the past to defend against the aggressor. However, only EE and 13C agreed to help, the other crews refused to take a side in the war or even leaned more towards supporting Templar. While it was stated in the LoN charter that providing military assistance was voluntary, it had up until then been commonly accepted that LoN members should stick up for each other before any other crew.

Recognising that this alliance was no longer bilateral, the majority of the British population voted in favour of “BExit” – to leave LoN and continue pursuing closer ties with equal partners such as EE and 13C. After BE left LoN, so did 13C, then EE. Then XE, IE and LR merged into the “Xanthian Empire” and the elves decided to stay after all.

Back to the topic at hand. In all of this, the BE never in any shape or form attempted to “rule small crews”, or act as “tyrants”. We adhere to values of truth and fairness and expect our allies to follow the same moral standards.

Thus, we denounce build1115 for trying to damage our relationship with his demagogue rhetoric. As a former government member of the British Empire, we expected more from him.

Two weeks have passed since the British Empire’s fourth general election. The time is ripe to present the new government of late autumn 2016. This is relevant both to citizens of the empire as well as foreign nationals who wish to take up contact or negotiate with the government.

For those who don’t know, two candidate duos squared off against each other in the latest hard-fought election. Bislo1 and Gildor_stinky ultimately achieved majority support over BGraph and Mountainrasta. Thus they were sworn in as Prime Minister and Vice Prime Minister for the next six months.

Today we take great pleasure in presenting our new government graphic, which will be updated on the BE’s wiki page for all to see:

So without further ado I would like to present to you:

Bislo1 – Prime Minister

Bislo will be serving his second term as leader of the British Empire. It is his duty to ratify treaties, speak for the crew as a whole and present declarations of war. Under his guidance, the empire shall sail for uncharted territory.

Gildor_stinky – Vice Prime Minister

Gildor_stinky shall serve as the Prime Minister’s right-hand man. When Bislo is offline, Gildor serves the chief spokesperson of the British Empire.

PaulOnFire – Election Commissioner

I shall be serving my fourth term as Election Commissioner of the British Empire. It is my duty to ensure the lawful conduct of free and fair elections as well as referendums within the crew.

Turkeyman11a – Minister for Defence

Turkeyman shall serve as the chief military supervisor of the empire and ensure that that we all keep our uniforms prim and proper. He will take command in all PvP related issues with foreign individuals who pose a direct threat to the BE.

BGraph – Minister for Justice

Bgraph shall be serving his second term as Minister for Justice and will be taking care of all domestic crime. Violations committed against British laws are his domain.

Lazydog11 – Minister for Recruitment 

Serving her third term as Minister for Recruitment, Lazydog11 will be keeping our population in check and training the new recruits to the best of her abilities.

JamesWClark – Home Secretary

JamesWClark will be taking a leading role in British construction projects and securing resources within the Empire. Under his direction, we’ll come to implement many of our ideas and plans yet undeveloped.

Mountainrasta – Foreign Secretary

In the absence of both Bislo and Gildor, Mountainrasta will be first in line when dealing with foreign crews. He will consider proposals to ally the BE and maintain relationships with our long-standing allies.

SmokinSoldier – Chief of Police

SmokinSoldier shall serve as our spiritual sheriff, helping BGraph to track down criminals and bring them to justice. He may choose police officers to help him in his endeavours.

Oktacraft – Chancellor of the Exchequer

Oktacraft shall be responsible for increasing the wealth of the British Empire and providing secure storage for our treasure.

Bazurka – Lord

Under the First Amendment of our charter, the Amendment of Lords, citizens who were in government but who no longer occupy an official government position may remain in parliament after each election so long as they renew their application as a Lord to the new Prime Minister. Bazurka has done so and will continue to assist the government as a counsellor. He may participate in government votes.

Lord_Hamsfield / CrazyPirate1 – Lord

The founder of the British Empire, Lord_Hamsfield, will be serving his second term as a Lord alongside Bazurka.

Dismissal of Lords:

Michty and Edori_an shall no longer serve as Lords of the British Empire. We thank you both for your long and honourable services. You are welcome to return any time should you feel inclined to do so.

Now, after little over a week after the ended election I can finally Present the new cabinet of the British Empire to you all, BE members as well as all other inhabitants of PirateCraft!

Some might already know, others may yet still not be informed that the great election we held last month had three candidate pairs, who fought well to win the race of becoming the Prime Minister and Vice Prime Minister, the two main leaders of BE.
I myself believe everyone did their best to show how they themselves would bring new light into The British Empire and guide this crew in the coming six months. I am therefore also honoured to be amond one of the two individuals who won the most votes in the election, making me the new Prime Minister of the empire and Lawzoneon, my second in command, the Vice Prime Minister.

I have in the past week been busy appointing the new upper governemnt and I can finally say I have concluded my search and I will therefore jump straight into presenting these talented individuals, whom in one way or another have shown their abilities and loyalty towards the crew.

So without further ado I would like to present to you..

 

Gildor_stinky – Home secretary

He will manage many of the major building projects within the empire and also control our finances

 

CaptainCrackerz – Minister of Defence

He will take command in all PvP related issues with foreign individuals, who pose a direct threat to the BE

 

BGraph – Minister of Justice

He will take care of all domestic crime, whether it be BE members being aggressive towards other crews, or stolen items from fellow British neightbours, BGraph will make sure justice is served.

 

Lazydog11 – Minister of Recruitment 

She will once again stand for organising the influx of new members to our great crew and train them properly in the best manner possible of the given circumstances.

 

Bazurka – Foreign Secretary

He will generously consider proposals from friendly crews to ally the BE and also nurture our long standing relations with our loyal friends.

 

PaulOnFire – Election Commissioner

Yet another successful election won’t hold back Paul, he will be with us once again in the coming election, give advice in important decisions and help manage the crew any way possible.

This is the cabinet as I have presented it to you, these are the future faces who are to manage the British Empire and make sure it does not cease to exist. We must bring fourth and build on the Foundations we created only three terms back!

Acknowledging their respective sovereignty, the Oriental Empire of China and the British Empire hereby enter this Non-Aggression Pact in recognition of their common interests.

Article I: Non-Aggression

Both the Oriental Empire of China and the British Empire agree to refrain of any kind of hostile activity towards each other. Any breach of this agreement will be dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.

Article II: Intelligence

Neither signatory shall seek sensitive information pertaining the other crew party to this pact. If any such information comes into their possession, they shall not disclose it to any other crews without their express permission.

Article III: Cancellation

The pact may be cancelled by either signatory with a three day advance notice.

British Empire/Oriental Empire of China Mutual Defence Pact

Preamble

In recognition of our close friendship, the Oriental Empire of China and the British Empire hereby enter this Mutual Defence Pact in the spirit of continued prosperity and mutual success.

Both the Oriental Empire of China and the British Empire agree to refrain of any kind of hostile activity towards each other. Any breach of this agreement will be dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.

Article II: Intelligence

Any information received by one signatory which is of political or military significance to the other signatory will be shared forthwith.

Article III: Mutual Defence

An attack on one crew will be seen as an attack on both crews. Should one signatory be subject to aggression, the other crew is obliged to support their beleaguered ally militarily.

Article IV: Cancellation

The pact may be cancelled by either signatory with a three day advance notice.

Should either signatory be subject to aggression, they may request assistance. The other crew is encouraged to support their beleaguered ally in whatever manner they see fit.
