The government of the British Empire hereby denounces build1115’s attempts at slandering the British Empire’s reputation. In recent times he has been making an assertive effort to portray past events in a false light. His purpose is to defame the British Empire in front of friends and foe alike and damage longstanding ties.

In contrary to build1115’s claims, 13C and BE have always enjoyed a very close and trustworthy alliance. Indeed, we have even led a unique “special relationship” (which does not involve adult activities in any shape or form).

Our two crews share both a similar theme and a similar mentality. We share 17th century “golden age of piracy” theme with similar architecture and similar uniform skins. We are both fiercely advocates of freedom and democracy. We have mutually fought side-by-side in almost every conflict since we entered our relationship. We have connected the British colonies of Canada, Karjat, Whiskey Peak and Fort Fang to the northern 13C territories with a vast road network. We have supported 13C in reaffirming themselves against USE (United States Empire).

In spring 2016, before the implementation of /a chat, 13C crew leader NickyB_123 approached the BE and proposed that 13C merge with BE. He would continue to lead 13C, but both crews would share one private chat together. The proposal passed in a referendum and 13C was permitted access to BE forum space. NickyB_123 received an honorary position in the British government with the same rights as a Lord of the British Empire.

Soon thereafter, the crew plugin was updated with the new feature of /a chat. This meant the merger between BE and 13C for coordination purposes was no longer relevant. NickyB_123 asked the government whether 13C could split off again so as to grow his crew independently. There was a referendum and it was universally accepted that 13C should be allowed to leave.

Around about the same time, there was a war going on between Templar and BE. BE hoped that LoN (BE, EE, 13C, XE, IE, LR) would stick together as they had in the past to defend against the aggressor. However, only EE and 13C agreed to help, the other crews refused to take a side in the war or even leaned more towards supporting Templar. While it was stated in the LoN charter that providing military assistance was voluntary, it had up until then been commonly accepted that LoN members should stick up for each other before any other crew.

Recognising that this alliance was no longer bilateral, the majority of the British population voted in favour of “BExit” – to leave LoN and continue pursuing closer ties with equal partners such as EE and 13C. After BE left LoN, so did 13C, then EE. Then XE, IE and LR merged into the “Xanthian Empire” and the elves decided to stay after all.

Back to the topic at hand. In all of this, the BE never in any shape or form attempted to “rule small crews”, or act as “tyrants”. We adhere to values of truth and fairness and expect our allies to follow the same moral standards.

Thus, we denounce build1115 for trying to damage our relationship with his demagogue rhetoric. As a former government member of the British Empire, we expected more from him.

Let me preface this by saying I am not a member of the British Empire.

However, I was in the BE government when all of this happened, and I can attest that the manner in which PaulOnFire has presented this is the way everything actually happened.

BE enjoyed a very cordial relationship with NickyB and 13C during the time they were merged. I don’t remember a single time there was any tension between the two crews, until the accusations of tyranny which occurred long after the peaceful split.

If there really were deep-seated issues that 13C had or still has with the BE, I think it would be best for their crew leader, @NickyB_123, to come forward and admit them so that the crew tensions may be mended.

Short of an admission by Nicky, I would encourage everyone to dismiss the hurtful things which have been said as simply banter. Don’t let it get in the way of your friendships.

The sincerest of apologies…

I never realized how much I have hurt your feeling/reputation. I never meant for these things to become so hateful. I fully recognize the fact that I am responsible for this. At the time of the beginning of this, I kept nagging Nicky to split from BE, and i guess i got to wound up in my fictional roleplay of the Revolutionary War. I have many people in the BE who i see as friends, and there is nobody i “hate” My childish input on the scenario of the LoN breaking up and Maximus_Terragon refusing to fight with BE made me come up with the farfetched idea that BE was like the real world empire during the 1700’s, and their control over the Americas, Indus Valley, etc. I sincerely apologize and hope that someday my apology will be accepted. As for now, I am resigning from 13C and Piratecraft, as my presence is having a negative impact on such a wonderful server. The best to you British folks.

Im sorry, bazurka, otkacraft, bgraph, mountainrasta, edori (at time of event), jameswclark, smokinsolder, paulonfire, turkeyman, gildor, lazydog, and and others i may have hurt. Extremely sorry to those i have angererd the most, bislo, and crazypirate. Also, im sorry crackers, even though you are now no longer BE.

I think this has been resolved before I even looked at it.

@gterwilliger I do suggest you stick around, as this change in attitude may finally let us move forward together. Even though harsh words were said by Build and were properly confronted by the BE, I feel like this is what we all needed. A release of tension and verbalization of what was being felt by Build and BE. Now you two have put away your differences, it is the time we make amends and prosper. With mutual help, both crews will now inevitably benefit to this reaffirmation of our strong time-tested alliance .

Also, thank you all members of the British government for handling this issue in the cordial and respectful manner that you did. This could have been escalated quickly, but thanks to your calm collectedness we were able to work out issues once again with civility; and for that we are grateful. Also, I extend my personal apologies as President of 13C on account of the actions of my Vice President.

Thank you for the clarification you have provided. I think it was very insightful, and it has helped me to better understand what happened.

I’ve always considered you a good friend on this server. This whole situation makes a lot more sense if it was all just role play. Please don’t leave just because of this misunderstanding, we will all miss you. I don’t think your presence is a negative impact on the server, and I very much enjoy playing and building with you.

The blame, in some sense, lies with everyone (including me, at the time this happened) for not discussing this with you directly. Perhaps it was not made clear that people were actually getting sour over this role play.

For that, I offer my own apology. I hope you will be able to reconsider your thoughts about leaving.

@build1115 idk if ur confused but speaking for 5 friends of mine who i asked to join here who joined before i knew them have all said EE had let them join then a leader (assumed to be Queen Reptaria) tpaed to them and killed them and stole their things, thus them leaving forever not ever wanting to return. thhis might be what youre confused with :p

Bit hypocritical of BE to be allied to a crew that does this, but hey Easier for me to group them all together and declare war on amiright 😀

Unicornjunk i am quite confused. I have never been in EE, and i have never been killed by Rep, nor any other EE member (that i can remember) my ties with the EE are neutral, and I have nothing against them. Could you please explain more clearly what I’m confused about 😀 sorry i just don’t understand.

@build1115 i thought u might have got the tyrant crew confused .BE is fine as far as i know but EE wasnt so i thought you may have confused the two (attempted to control small crews and bullied new players etc etc exactly wut u described pretty much)

I must confess, I am surprised how quickly this was resolved. It takes guts to come out openly the way Build1115 has done. The British Empire accepts your apology and bears no ill-will against you. Hopefully you will choose to stay on the server, as you are a valuable player and have much yet to accomplish on your voyages!

@Unic0rnJunk101 Let me speak plainly. The EE are not tyrants, and never have been. The Elven Republic is not ruled by a single leader, which is needed for tyrancy, and we do not , as you say, ‘bully’ small crews. When has that ever happened? Please, give me an example. Else all you have is words. And, killing and bullying new players. When, where and who? Please, do tell. Other than your friends, which I will cover later, I see no other cases.

Even if the EE did kill those recruits, that is regretted and laid to rest. Yet, other crews have committed worse. I know for certain that Piratequest attacked a town devoted to helping deckies, and had a merry day slaughtering them. about seven deckies, each of them dying at least twice. It certainly seems higher than the EE’s amount, wouldn’t you say?

So please, Java, if you feel you have to spout your bitterness in an unrelated thread, please do make sure you have a reputation that is not lower than the accused.

Thank you Jusa, PirateQuest is a pirate crew. They cannot accuse the EE being guilty of pushing people around, when that’s the best way to describe them. I am not arguing against Gbldm, but against Java’s bitterness argument that the EE is a barbaric, mass-killing, corrupt crew, that has never done an inkling of good.

Plus, an empire can be as hardhearted as a piratecrew, if needed. So you can’t argue that the EE has to make perfect moral decisions in absolutely everything, and Gbldm can burn a mass of deckies because of their natures.
