Due to Cysteen’s upcoming birthday, TAS members and friends decided to purchase and trade with villagers for 21 double chests of cake to cake bomb Cysteen. Jmoo luckily had perms to Cysteen’s base at the time, so while the others were trading for cake he placed twenty one double chests down in her base. While Jmoo was cake bombing Cysteen’s room, she logged on to TeamSpeak! Chailey even banned her for 5 minutes so Jmoo could finish. When she was unbanned, she logged into a base full of cake! Everyone in the based yelled surprise, and Cysteen screamed in excitement. About 30 minutes later, GodsDead logged on and one upped TAS members by spawning a massive cake schematic on top of her base! In the end, over 1/4 of her massive base was covered with cake and she never has to eat real food again.

“WitherBeard Clan Raided”

Today the WitherBeard Clan was insided by none other than Withero1. This inside allowed 5 members of an enemy crew (Dealers Deck) to raid whatever they could from the main base. The raid started quiet as all the members of DD were invisible, until RFlash happened to walk down to where the raiding was going on and walked in on three men in god. He was naked at the time so he died quite fast but this alerted the rest of the WitherBeard Clan including Galaxy219 that the base was under attack. The next 15 minutes were spent with little to no fighting happening as Galaxy tried to close off all entrances to the base.  It eventually ended with DD leaving the base gear in hand as Galaxy and the Rest of the WitherBeards assessed the damage.

 

“Winners of ‘Shipped’”

Today the winners were announced as it turned midnight and #LuckyxLazy won by just one vote. This first edition of “Shipped” came off better than I had expected so I will try to do one of these every few weeks or so to make things interesting. As it goes with all winners Lucky_The_Freak is now officially shipped with Lazydog11, make sure to congratulate them if you see them.

A few days ago I came up with an idea to write a hilarious article about a love triangle that I may or may not have created out of thin air. After thinking about it for a few days I have decided to turn this kind of article into a sort of poll. So here’s how it works: I will take some well known players and essentially ‘ship’ them together in a love triangle that you the players will have to vote on to see which two players become ‘shipped’. The way that you vote is to comment which couple you ship down below, and at the end of two days the most commented ship will become the in-game ‘couple’ per-say. Now this first ship I have talked to the parties involved and they all said that they were fine with it so here goes! “The Elves Return”

After what seemed like two months of elven inactivity the Queen of the elves, Reptaria, has returned to the server claiming to bring the elves back to their former glory. This comes on the heels of one of the greatest elven declines known yet, as to all who were on the server it seemed the elves had disappeared into the woods from whence they came. Hopefully this will bring even more excitement back to the server as the summer starts to kick into full gear bringing with it what it will. Who knows, maybe there’ll even be a war started…

 

“BE Elected Offices Announced”

Today all the offices that are to be held by the public officials of the BE were finalized and sent to the paper to be uploaded for all to see. The announcement gave us an inside look at the jobs each of these officers will be working on during their time of service and what we should look forward to in the coming months. This is what we got:

“First of all, thank you to all that applied. It is great to see such interest among the BE population. However, there were a few applications that really stood out – and it is based on this that Taulov and I appointed our cabinet. There are a few new faces among those chosen which is good – they have been in the BE for the necessary time and are ready to move up to this stage. To all those chosen, I am looking forward to working with you.

 

So without any more preamble, here are your new government ministers.

 

Minister for Defence and Justice – Snapcrackplays

Snap was chosen on the basis of his extensive prior experience of ship combat and court proceedings. He is an experienced player so has learnt how the server mechanics work in regard to defence and attack, and has shown plenty of evidence that he can capably organise our defensive and offensive policies as well as ensure the laws of the BE are upheld in a fair and unbiased manner.

 

Snapcrackplay’s first project will be to organise the research into the use of guns in server combat, and his everyday duties will include helping me run some of the workshops.

 

Foreign secretary – Bislo1

Certainly the most qualified candidate, Bislo has the experience necessary to do good things from this role. He knows how to politically maneuvere and please the right people whilst demanding the most out of a situation for the BE – an essential skill for the minister who deals with foreign crews.

 

Bislo’s first project will be to assess our current alliances and, if he feels it necessary, kick the CoN into action after its inactivity.

 

Home secretary – Wwpl

Wwpl is a longtime member of the BE. Having worked on the territory of Capetown alongside the player Clontron, Wwpl is familiar with organising large projects which will form the basis of his duties in this role. Wwpl is keen to work towards the continual improvement of the Empire.

 

Wwpl’s first project will be to organise the construction of the arena in which we can run the games outlined in my election campaign.

 

Admiral – Browe

 

Whilst not strictly a government position, the Admiral is in charge of the BE’s military forces. Since it has been decided already, I will announce it here. Browe has great experience in using ships with combat in mind, and understands how to organise a group to achieve an aim. He has been working towards the completion of a Naval port and fleet in London with which we can dominate the seas of the server.

 

Browe’s first project will be to organise the completion of the port and fleet, and find suitable players to join the ranks of the Navy.

 

So here are the government ministers that have been decided. I will be making one small change to the running of the government – I will enforce the part of our charter that asks government members to submit a small report every two weeks detailing what they have been up to. The government members will submit this in the government forum group.”

“TAS Builds Canal in 2 Days!”

As members were getting on piratecraft today many of them noticed a large canal that had been dug almost overnight by TAS members who were persistent to open up the canal to connect the southern seas. This major feat was completed in simply two days as TAS members such as Cysteen, Riverwood202, Turkeyman11a, CaptainCraken, ArtificialDemon, Jmoo and many others worked tirelessly to complete this canal in record time. Lawzoneon was also present and helped in the slabbing and digging of the canal as a friend of the builders. Thankfully we got sent a video and some pics of the canal being built so that we can show all of our readers just what went on the past two days. Cysteen also told the press that once the canal is fully finished she would be opening it up to be claimed by the admins for public use! This means that anyone who wanted to traverse the seas could do so freely using this new canal.

“Panda Press Sold in Game Book Form!”

The Panda Press articles are now sold in Riverwood202’s shop at /warp shop2 for only £12! This is an in-game copy of each article put out by the paper and there are the latest three articles sold at the shop. This means that if you want to read the newspaper off the forums you can now head to River’s shop and purchase a copy for yourself! Older copies will eventually sell for more as time goes on so make sure you get the copies you want now before they’re gone!

Come down to Cys’ shop at s39 (/warp shop2, second on the right) for a general store with a various collection of items from kit armor, to the largest Food shop, and building blocks to choose from! I have Sell signs on the 3rd floor, so anyone needing a quick penny (for a little bit of work) can have a look! Also will be adding a sort of seasonal stock, that changes often, so check back for new stock!

“Horsia Main Base Hit!”

This evening I was sent a video from RiverKitty who filmed the horsia main base being raided! It was found out that some members of Horsia had gotten fed up with their crew-mates and had teleported other players into the Horsia base to raid the entirety of the crew home invisible. This invisibility keeps us from recognizing any of the players involved and the audio file had been deleted so we cannot to trace the users by voice. We do know this, the main base of Horsia was wiped clean, and from the video, those who were raiding it left no stone unturned as they burned anything that they could not pick up. The players who raided Horsia sent a clear message that they will continue to hit back hard after what seemed like days of inactivity from the anti-horsia side. We can only expect that hostility will increase in the next few days, so my advice to the players on the outside looking in, “Hide your kids, hide your wife.”.

“Juice Justice”

Over the last few days I have been informed of many different bases that have been invaded by new Juice crew members. The most outstanding of these bases being, RiverKitty’s base, and Admiral_Trench’s base. Now usually I wouldn’t be too concerned if it was one occurrence, or it were two different crews that built right next to these players claims. In this case however I was intrigued by the fact that the same crew built bases right next to these players claim without their say-so. Both players stated their disgruntled attitude towards their neighbors, and in the case of Admiral_Trench, he stated that if the mountain between his base and the Juice’s claim had been removed, he could have looked right into their city. RiverKitty also stated that the Juice had claimed right next to her base multiple times and built their while she was offline. This is an extremely troubling issue to me as both a writer and player and I would like to get more information about such occurrences as the week progresses. Stay tuned for more on this in the Thursday edition!

 

“Llama Love” (By SnapCrackPlays)

Two days ago, CottageCooper decided to purchase a llama spawn egg from the cove, and decided to spawn it on the beach. Within seconds Astrobolt had flung himself onto the saddle and a battle began around cove for possession of the llama, ending with a trip down a railway line, a knockabout in the cove public house, and one very angry llama.

 

“Chailey’s Birthday!” 

Today was one of our favorite moderator’s birthday. This special person was Chailey, who was finally able to use his mic on teamspeak and lull all who were listening to his cool relaxed British accent repeating “Fuck off” lightheartedly. It was an event that the whole server seemed to take part in as most everyone who was on PirateCraft wished Chailey a happy birthday as we did in the ts. If you see Chailey on the server and you didn’t get the chance to wish him a happy birthday please take the time to do so as he is one of the hard working mods that keep this server running at top shape! ?
