@ben I don’t think he kicked you to be mean. When the server has issues; the server gets ‘whitelisted’ which means only mods and admins can get on. This is so they can ascertain the damage and try to find out what’s wrong and how to fix it; and also to prevent anyone else losing their inventories or information.
@godsdead When I left for work at noon EST, the server was up and working normally. Not sure if you had a timeframe for when the inventory wiping and such started to occur, but it looks like the server glitch happened during the scheduled server reset. (I was late and forgot to log out on my way out the door; and came back to ‘the server will be back in one minute’ so it seems everything shut down normally; but for some reason the world didn’t come back up as it should.
I hope that info helps with the maintenance today, and sorry again for getting on. I usually check the forums first (still no idea why I was on the whitelist though), that’ll teach me eh? At least I had nothing in my inventory but damaged mob drops and kit junk; so if my inventory is wiped it’s no big deal 😀

here are the things that happen
1. we apared in the spawn ship
2. we lost are inventory
3.are stats are a bit wierd now because everyone was erning talking inventory
4. we got kickt out after a bit

@godsdead what is going on!? i logged on after the restart and it had gone back to the default map im pretty sure… i had all the stuff i had when the server was glitched back to the default one. I have lost my inventory that i had when the server restarted. i then drowned as i was very far away from the default maps spawn… and thinking it would take me to the default map spawn… It took me to my real spawn… i had lost all my inventory from when the server restarted. many people did the same and some people lost their inventory. it seems i may be one of the only ones that spawned at the default server… everyone else apart from a few others , spawned at the ship wreck!?
It may be that the people that logged on when the server crashed and went back to a totally new server /map (the one ive been callling the default server) didnt spawn at the shipwreck…
Me and konstantine are some of these people?

And btw. @godsdead , the the inventory, Enderchests and item frame maps all appear to be reset completely atm. not sure if you know.. Alot of ppl are calling for a roll back asap.

@Godsdead What are the ways that the blocks can disappear? I’m asking this question because remember Hot Foot? Maybe we could use some spleef feature where blocks decay and then disappear as an alternative to actual wood blocks burning and disappearing. Is there a spleef feature where blocks disappear? I know there is the punch block way and the throw egg way…

Thanks for the compliment! I put a lot of time into that arena. I plan on making a few more, but a little bit of adversity is always good. Some pointers however; I initially made layers with trees, houses, streets, etc, to vary the gameplay. This DOES NOT WORK. The layers, including the wool, are generated by Godsdead; However, the hole, the walls of the hole, and the arena itself, are all made by you. There may be certain specifications in size; you may have to ask gods about that, or just follow the size of mine. Finally, there is the option of both spleef and splegg, I would suggest watching some youtube videos to see what you prefer.
I want you to make some ships for mee!! Just don’t make them too huge (I don’t want a unicornjunk101 base sized ship to crash my computer). If you know how to make schematics you can send them to me. Or you can send me the minecraft world save. Also maybe if there are some cool looking ships (probably subs) on piratecraft, @godsdead could make some schematics or something

To summarize: GodsDead found a way better plugin than ChestShop that would allow awesome new things on the server: SignShop 2 (http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/signshop/)
It have all the advantages of ChestShop (no restriction about the items you sell) and is even better: you don’t have to place the chest near the sign: you can have a secured storage room in your shop with all your chests and items stored and, as currently, a public shop with only signs.
The way it works isn’t complicated, maybe I’ll make a small web page with a tutorial (as I can only find video tutorials and I hate having to spend time on youtube when a simple webpage would be easier to understand).
The advanced features of SignShop 2 are quite awesome:
– Ability for players to sell multiple items on a sign (eg A Brewery starter kit with a cauldron, a clock, a brewing stand, …)
– Ability to have “Pay money/item for redstone” signs (for redstone contraptions or simply to have an entrance fee somewhere)
– Edition of shop signs with black dye
– Profit sharing (eg allow 2 players to have a shop and do 50/50)
– …
