@azuries did the server restart as gods says it was a couple of days ago, and then did it just not start back up at all… If so (but im not sure) i think gods may have to start up the server manually or something… Im just wondering why its down now?

Just wondering; certain things in game are monitored by the website, which implies there is a way for certain things that happen in game to be monitored outside. So, would it be possible to hook up a command block, or hopper system, that produces an effect you can monitor without playing. If this effect is being produced, the server is up. If there is no output, the start command runs. Could this be used to check if the server is live, or not?

Server down

This time the server was lagging so badly, you’d tp to an area and it would take about 5 minutes for everything to fully render. Checking a chest took at least a minute between clicking it and the menu popping up.

Not sure what is causing the lag…?

I’ve noticed that visiting /warp trade seems to nearly crash the game for me; I have been killed while frozen twice now.

Few Pointers as of recent:
- Shops that use a LOT of item frames, each one of these is an entity, couple that with mobs & other AI will create lagg, at present Im allowing Item frames at the shops, Can other people confirm lagg every single time they visit certain locations? And not just “this one time”.
- I removed battlearena for the 100th time, It was running at 5000% last night and was creating dramatic lag, the developer has no idea why (Great) So no FFA.
- The host killed out map for the 6th?/7th? Time, It wont even load now, I found that it hangs for a good 4 mins when booting/shutting down the server.
- Our scheduler for the host seemed to not be working, but Im thinking it may have been the live map causing timing issues, which ment the server wouldn’t start on time, this is still being investigated.
- I was busy & out of town at the weekend, and noticed 7 hours downtime due to some form of Java heap memory crash, this is the first time I have seen this Error and its reason is unknown, I rebooted the server a few times and it stopped appearing.

I know the lag experienced last night was not due to shops; I experienced it both at one of my warps home and in other, non shop locations. Others were experiencing lag while working out in the wilderness, no signs at all.

However I think it should be mentioned, in a missive maybe, that item frames lag; I don’t think anyone knows this and alot of people use item frames in their home vaults as well as in shops.

Item frames cause excessive lag; The shop at the cove, that coughing dog runs, is an example. /warp trade is consistently bad, however, I don’t notice it at /warp shop.

I know some of you guys in here are running mc with optifine and thats cool because it can make the game run smoother.

What i found out recently though is that optifine causes my game to lag the heck out to the point that i cannot walk around /warp trade.

Interestingly enough, when i one day decided to just ditch optifine, i had little to no lag in the same areas, even at /warp shop (which has always been lag hell for me)

I don’t know if it would help others to just disable optifine alltogether, or update it.. I know optifine was the source of my lag, so i simply launched the game without.. never had lag issues ever since

I don’t know if this is something that might help anyone?

And btw. @godsdead , the the inventory, Enderchests and item frame maps all appear to be reset completely atm. not sure if you know.. Alot of ppl are calling for a roll back asap.

@godsdead what is going on!? i logged on after the restart and it had gone back to the default map im pretty sure… i had all the stuff i had when the server was glitched back to the default one. I have lost my inventory that i had when the server restarted. i then drowned as i was very far away from the default maps spawn… and thinking it would take me to the default map spawn… It took me to my real spawn… i had lost all my inventory from when the server restarted. many people did the same and some people lost their inventory. it seems i may be one of the only ones that spawned at the default server… everyone else apart from a few others , spawned at the ship wreck!?

It may be that the people that logged on when the server crashed and went back to a totally new server /map (the one ive been callling the default server) didnt spawn at the shipwreck…

Me and konstantine are some of these people?

Hope this helps … just tryin to make sure i get ma stuff back 🙂
