Good afternoon, Pirates and staff. My name in the game is DeofiloW1, as you know, and I’ve done testing that solidifies not only the cause but also the existence of the Double KB bug that has existed since the attempted removal of Netherite KB.
Testers: DeofiloW1(past staff), TobySF(current Media), PhilipG_(Vet player & pvper)
Testing in detail explained (And Repeated and can still be repeated!)
Test on MAIN PMC server: On the PMC server, when a player attempts to do the most basic “distancing” attack, known as a “W tap,” which is running at someone and hitting them, it will send the player back exactly 9 blocks with no extra knockback. These 9 blocks can be reached with a fist, a sword, or any object without fail. When you add KB 1 or 2 into the mix, the distance gets exponentially higher. (14 for KB 1 and 20 blocks for KB 2 KB 3 20+)
Tests Done: As a control group, it’s important to notice that we are testing Netherite armor, Iron armor, and no armor. The test was simple: stand on the same exact blocks and count the amount the individual who was hit was knocked back with the following results.
ON LIVE PMC SERVER:
Netherite NO KB RESIST : 9 blocks (repeated 5X+ with TobySF)
No armor: 9 blocks (repeated 5X+ with TobySF)When you look at the live server testing, something is clear: you are hit back the same distance with and without netherite armor. What has gone unnoticed for so many years is the distance itself; during these tests you are being moved back the same amount. However, netherite ADDS KB resistance to the game through the armor set itself, meaning that if ONLY netherite KB resistance was removed, the distance an individual is knocked back without netherite should not be increased. which is where the wonderful test server comes into play to hone in on what exactly is causing this extra range.
TEST SERVER AKA: (test.piratemc.com)
When you go to the test server, one may ask what diffrence might this make? and the important thing to note is that the PMC test server is as barebones as it can be meaning that many plugins and value changes are not carried over, including but not limited to the KB changes.When I took my group of testers, PhilipG_ and TobySF to the test server we initiated the same steps as we did on the main server. and the results were predictably vastly diffrent.
PMC TEST SERVER RESULTS:
With netherite With KB resistance: 3 blocks repeated 5X + TobySF & 5X+PhilipG
With Iron armor: 4 blocks repeated 5X+ tobySF & 5X+ PhilipG_
With No armor: 4 blocks repeated 5X+ TobySf & 5X+ philipG_
What is being demonstrated is that the regular amount of KB a player receives is around 4 blocks, and with the ADDED KB resistance to netherite, it would send back 1 less block. What this narrows down the situation to be and shows is that the plugin/value change that is being used on the live server not only changed the baseline KB value but also has Doubled/tripled the amount taken. It is essential that this bug, now being proven and able to be replicated over and over, should be fixed and corrected, as it has been an issue for some time now. In the past players did not know how to properly demonstrate such a bug existed; however, I have taken the time with not only current staff but also a regular player to prove my theory and demonstrate exactly what is the cause of the KB bug. - Remember that you can also submit a video of your build in the entry form.
- The use of building mods (Schematica and such) is strictly prohibited. Any player caught using these mods will be disqualified.
- The use of building tutorials (Youtube videos, blueprints) is strictly prohibited. Any player caught using these will be disqualified.
- Submitting inappropriate builds, including the name – will result in disqualification from current and future BOTMs. You may also receive punishment in-game.
- Submitting a build that is not your own or without explicit permission from the owner, will result in disqualification from current and possibly future BOTMs.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Similar to the last BOTM hosted, the winners will be decided upon via staff votes.
While it means that the community will not be allowed to vote, it will greatly reduce the voting bias where ‘friends vote for friends’ and not the ‘better build’.

Its been a while since someone has done something like this. The last list that has been made was in 2018 July by Xeron. It can be found >Here<.
This list serves as a reference point, and comparison to the PMC of 3 years 7 months ago O_O im getting old.
Im gonna try to include as many crews as I can (I’m NOT gonna mention every crew in existence or 2 hour old deckhand crews).

1. This is based off data from the 17th of February. It is entirely

- Each player may submit a maximum of one ( 1 ) build per month.
- A player is allowed to submit a non-winning ( not top 3 ) build from the last BOTM
- A winning player is allowed to enter again this BOTM, but with a different build.
- If a minimum of three ( 3 ) builds are not submitted each month, that month’s competition will be cancelled – get your builds in!
- There are no size limits for any builds.
- Screenshots will be taken by DeofiloW1 with SEUS shaders, another option would be your submitting of your own screenshots by private message on discord @Deo#7879.
- The use of building mods ( Schematica and such ) is strictly prohibited. Any player caught using these mods will be disqualified.
- The use of building tutorials ( Youtube videos, blueprints ) is strictly prohibited. Any player caught using these will be disqualified.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Similar to the last BOTM hosted, the winners will be decided upon via staff votes.
While it means that the community will not be allowed to vote, it will greatly reduce the voting bias where ‘friends vote for friends’ and not the ‘better build’.
