Let’s be real…I’m pretty much the only one who kills people regardless of what they own or are wearing just for the fun of it lol
Mooshy- This is not an easy server to get started on, I will give you that. Things in spawn are not explained very well…99% of the other player base is extremely well established and claiming is difficult until you get substantial amount of claim blocks. With that being said…all of the well established players faced the same issues. We all were deckies and cadets once hunted for sport rather than loot. As a cadet I was sieged by the brits for a month straight daily because I refused to move my base that was 200 blocks from their town. I didn’t complain and I died a lot…but with every raid and siege your base gets better, you think of more defenses and you progress more in playtime being able to claim a larger area.
This server isn’t easy…and people who 1. Expect a game to be given to them, or 2. Want a peaceful start to a server before being thrown in with the rest of the player base will not find a home in PirateMC. It’s a survival, combat oriented, server with raiding, building, and unique claiming, but with that it forces players to outthink their opponents to survive, not just setup their claim and live happily ever after until they feel prepared enough to fight everyone.
Instead of making negative posts like this with the intent of “bringing attention to an ongoing issue”, which in this form is going to do nothing but flame and make people disregard your opinion entirely, make a post suggesting the changes you think should be made to make the server more achievable for new people. Until you can come up with some positive feedback and constructive criticism, nothing you think should be changed will be changed and your ideas about the matter will be disregarded as another flaming new guy who wants everything handed to you. Sorry if that comes across as insulting or character attacking, but that is the appearance you are giving to everyone by making posts like these.

Huh. Definitely no way to get around that, such as:
A. Move somewhere else. People are REALLY territorial on this server, if you come within 500 blocks of some claims, their owner will hunt you across the entire map.
B. Log on when the players who attack you are offline. You can check who is online via livemap, and that way, you don’t even risk anything.
C. Making a proper base. Really, you can just claim a 10×10, then fill it with chests and lock them by placing a block on top. Boom, instant security. Then build something pretty without worrying that all your stuff will go missing
Plenty of the older players have gone through the same thing you have. I’ve had 5 different homes because I kept needing to move and leave everything to keep from being killed constantly. Now, I’ve found a nice spot in the wilderness, where I’m building up my base.
There is still a surprisingly large amount of unclaimed land on the server, you just have to find it.
I’m not too good at pvp, but instead of complaining every time I get killed, I suck it up and run into my ugly little stonebrick bunker, cos I’m a little pansy with terrible connection and terrible pvp skillz. My home currently is literally just a 32×32 hole in the ground, completely exposed, nowhere to hide except this bunker.
I don’t complain about the literally thousands of setbacks I’ve had, I just soldier on because losing items is part of the game. If getting killed drives you away, that’s fine, we don’t need you here. This server fills a specific niche, and if you don’t like it, you should leave instead of expecting the whole server to conform to your expectations.

Don’t be whiny, if you don’t like the server, leave, don’t expect us to change just to make you happy.

It degrades the moderators who work tirelessly to keep the server free of this trash like “The Devil” and you obviously deserved to get the ban you got just for disrespect. You got a 24 hour ban, what do you do? You whine about how a moderator who is the same as you, a player, killed you and took your gear which might I add isn’t even proven to be truthful yet. You give me no reason to feel pity for your situation as you immediately jumped on the “Let’s hate on Law” bandwagon as soon as you got the chance. Your attitude is horrible, and you seem to think that whining about the mods and the players that have been here a lot longer than you and expect that everyone will give you love an affection? If you don’t like the players there’s plenty of other servers that would kiss up to your ass, but I am sick of posts like this that try and turn the hate onto our moderators. If this is your sick idea of getting justice, leave, no one cares to listen to your butt-hurt replies.

Anyone old players comment from now on will automatically skipped over due to the fact they don’t see it from a Deckies point of View

Riiiight. Here we go…
Now, the whole point of your post was that you were attacked as a Decky. and because of that, you can identify with (apparently) other deckies being attacked. But you go on to say that within 2 days of joining, you liked this server so much, you bought a rank!
Since you liked it on here before you bought the rank, that means that you didn’t get attacked by staff or senior players in those two days, which, by extension, means you weren’t attacked as a Deckhand, but as a buyable rank. Pft. Evidence! Who needs it when you can just make up baseless lies.
You say nobody on here understands what it’s like being a Decky, but every single person who has replied has endured this. We’ve been hunted, raided, spawnkilled, forced to move, we’ve rage quit, and we’ve all turned into right little keyboard warriors like yourself, although nothing this bad! You just suck it up. If you quit, we don’t want you here, simple as.
So, grow a pair. We’ve already set up community farms near spawn, and we already have thousands of crews that recruit and train deckies. We have hundreds of established players who are charitable with their items, and a similar number who provide some R&R for deckies. So what if a few of them die? Its Pirate, not Princesscraft. Jeez.

May 23, 2017 at 12:19 pm #50223Look, there is already a community set up on this server. By most standards, this is a very old server, where many people know each other. There is a very specific atmosphere on this server: a pvp atmosphere. You keep saying none of the older players have experienced what you’ve experienced, and yet they have, because this server has been the way it is for a long time.
This server has always been an aggressive pvp and raiding server. If you don’t like how other people play, you should leave. We know that our attitudes towards other players drive some people away, but we don’t want those kinds of players here, the players who feel entitled to something for no real reason.
I’m not even that old or active of a player. I joined 3 or so years ago, and have a total play time of about 3 days. In that time, I’ve made friendships, built bases, been betrayed, had my bases raided and/or razed to the ground, lost too many good picks (RIP SHOVEL, my favorite God Pick) and died more than about 75% of this server’s players.
The best thing you can learn from this experience is that you are not some special snowflake: other people have done what you have done, only better, other people have experienced worse than you, and no one will stoop to help you just because you think they should.

This is hilarious… Where do you think all the veterans came from hmm?? We all had to start as deckhands before we could be boatswain or gunner. You seem to forget that veteran means that they usually have a playtime of over 30 days on this server while you have a playtime of what maybe 1 day? I was killed a heck ton when I first started, but I stayed with it, ranked up, and now I’m at a place where I maybe die once or twice in a week. The thing is, you act like deckhands are so misunderstood when in fact everyone commenting here has been a decky at least once. You have disrespected the players who started from your position and stayed with it till boatswain, and you’ve disrespected the staff.

The actual reason i killed you was because you wrote in public chat that you are going to betray your current crew/people that trusted you at that time, who were friends and allies of myself.
And arent you also the guy who joined with an alt while being temp banned? Well rip you, I believe your temp ban was changed to perm because of that
No unfair staff anywhere on this server, maybe some unfair players, guess you are one of them which is why you are gone now.
May 23, 2017 at 5:33 pm #50226Perhaps I may be an “old player”, but my argument will be formed from the perspective of when I had just joined. When I was a cadet, and had only been on PirateCraft for a few months, I was attacked by three captains: Koi, SeussSenpai, and I don’t remember the third one. I survived, and nothing was stolen from me. Sorry to be harsh, but what’s your excuse? I didn’t have the donator perks you did, I’m pretty sure I had leather armor. But I had figured out how to make a safe base and cover my chests. I had just started playing Minecraft in general as well, so I was the full definition of a “noob”. How did I survive?

-I trusted no one
-I used common sense
The guides are there for a reason, and if someone has issues when they start playing, 99% of the time, it’s because they don’t read them.

On the whole, if you spam the chat (as you did a few days back) with things about how you are going to “slaughter Galaxy219”, then don’t expect everyone to sit back and wait patiently for you to arrive with drawn sword. So no, Law was not being “abusive”. Just get a grip.
