Hey guys,

so today I logged on minechat to check out what is happening and to talk to everyone (you only can write on minechat). I don’t know where I spawned but I think it was near a cannon BUT in a pvp free zone. After a while I saw in chat: “RaveTheWave was killed by Witcher_Gerald” and “RaveTheWave was killed by magic”. I don’t know how this could happen but Witcher killed me in a Pvp free zone when I was texting on minechat. Well I lost stuff now but the bigger problem is that I can’t text anymore because I am stuck in the death screen. I don’t know why people do it but they should feel very very bad!

Witcher you should think about what you did and what for a d**k move it was.

So as I can’t write anymore I will quit now until December, when I’m at home for a week…

Minechat is for people trying to chat you shouldn’t take advantage of them staying still to take items from them.

Yeah Witches did the same to me, whilst I was in spawn…Its pretty frustrating.

I’ve been killed on minechat, didn’t make a post. Rave always type /warp spawn – if ur in range of cannon u will be killed by someone

Maybe you got killed too oli but you weren’t away for 1 year. Minechat is the only way to talk to you and now I am stuck in the death screen thing…

I’m not mad because I lost a hole God equip. I’m mad because I can’t talk to you in game anymore and only because a little kid likes to cause trouble.

It used to say when you logged on with MineChat that “xxxUser… joined using MineChat” , but I don’t think it says that anymore as I’ve watched the live map at the same time I’ve logged on with it, and it doesn’t. Which I suppose would help alert people not to do this. Although, I do know that you do get automatically transported to a pvp free spot, so, it still shouldn’t happen. Sorry for your luck rave, that is a crappy thing to do.

Rave may I ask where you were when you died, Because if you were at cove a cannon should not have killed you. Also it says you were killed by magic, does that mean cannon or potions? as i have heard of some people using lingering potions to get past the no kill at pvp free zones. If there is anything I can do to help you get back on just ask.

So, he killed ya with a cannon in a pvp free zone? Hmm. That’s not cool. See, in order to do that, he would have had to have found a cannon in such a place, in working order (buttons, torches, and all), which is super unlikely. So, what he probably did was sail a ship with a prebuild cannon on it into spawn/cove/wherever, and shot you. Which is super against the rules.

And before some arse says ‘its not against the rules, you lie!’, do you really think you’d be allowed to bombard spawn with cannon shots?

In my opinion one of two things happened here. As far as i know there is no functioning cannons at cove/spawn witch means he would have had to have done what crazy said in sailing a ship with a pre built cannon to get around the pvp protection. Another possibility is that if i am not mistaken people have been able to use lingering potions in the past to attack people at cove/spawn witch is just another way to get around/abuse the pvp protection zones. This could be possibly what happened due to “killed by magic” death message applying to potions as well and there is no remains of a ship in cove and if he did sail a ship in someone would have seen him do it witch make me think that he used lingering potions.

And btw I just noticed that I lost my one and only event sword. Witcher you won’t have a good live when I come back. You should take the time while I am away to equip and think about your future on piratecraft.

I spoke to witcher today, and he said that you were standing downrange at /warp cannons. Now, if he has any sense of decency, I would hope that he would return the items. I’m sure staff can workout where your last death was too, and thereby confirm his story.

I’ve actually discussed this with Admins before. It may of changed since I did it myself but at the time they said there was no issue with me using cannons to kill in the above mentioned areas if I happen to find one that is still in working order. There aren’t many that are by the way. Also when I built a tower outside of cove with cannons on it they found this acceptable as well as long as the platform was not claimed. Seriously i did it for an hour with admins watching me and fought several people who came to try to stop me. I don’t know how admins will react to this at this time. My opinion on the matter of minechat is if you are gonna use it have a dark place to tp to so you can’t be seen on the map. much better than relying on the “No pvp” areas. I’ve killed and been killed by cannons at cove. I feel for you not being able to talk to everyone Rave but don’t feel Witcher did anything against the rules.

Edit: almost forgot. Get Hyper chat. has an option to respawn if you die while on it. Works great.
