Suggestion: More directional signs in Cove

The cove is a pretty big, overwhelming, and rather confusing idea. I often find myself finding useful shops and rooms, using them, then the next time I am at the cove, I cannot find them! I heard that I could sell wood and mob drops in the cove. I found where to sell wood, but I cannot find it again and I never found a mob drop shop? More signs or just some better navigational tools would really help the cove be easier to get around and figure out.

There is no Mob drop sales point? Where did you hear this? Cove only buys wood! I think I played with the idea of being able to sell mob drops then decided against it. But you are right, we need some form of signs. Markus & Azuries fancy doing this? Both of you can create coloured signs!

Typing /info eco in the game results in information on earning money to appear. One of the tips is “Sell logs and mob drops in the cove”.

Signs are slowly being added all over Cove. In addition, up the stairs and to the right is a new train station. This includes a stop for the track to Covetown as well as a renovation of the Arena tracks. These tracks will now move one direction, and make infrequent stops in Cove, at the plugin demos, and at arena. The underwater route is also about to be updated.

Also be on the lookout for villagers in the walls to trade with. Many are marked with signs, colored signs belonging to villagers who’ve already maxxed out their trading capabilities. (As in trading for their last item won’t give a new trade)

@Azuries and myself are doing work on the cove, we really need to re-do the signs for getting around it though, I think we need to follow a pattern for all the signs though Azuries, so like the top line is always the name of the area we are poiting towards, we should pick a color for all names http://ess.khhq.net/mc/ maybe also bold, then on the second line directions or arrows to it.

I can also supply “Arrow” heads, that are skinned heads like arrows for pointing.

I was mostly waiting on you for that reason; most of the recent signs were for the trains and a few little things here and there. I beleive Markus posted some signs directional as well; but truth be told I need to do some exploring because I only know of a few things to make signs FOR, and I need to learn what all I should be leading people to for there are many nooks and crannies.

Oh also @tom I think if we are going to do a color depending on which shop, we could also put a marker on it’s roof, with wool (4×4 mebbe) to match the text color?
