    What’s a FAQ?

    That should have really been the title, because that’s all we get, Frequently asked Questions.

    Even with extensive information on the website/Commands like /info /claims /howtoplay/A book they spawn with a MOTD and god damn signs. All we get are questions and requests 24/7.

    So lets try this, we have a Wiki, anyone can edit a wiki, lets answer all those frequently asked questions, Create an account with your minecraft username so they I can see who has created content and pay you back in-game with gifts based on how helpful the information is, Even if you just fix grammar and re-word sections that is being helpful.

    Why do I need the community to build this? Because staff are all tied up 24/7 helping players with answering questions and filling out requests, which may I also remind you should never be requested in-game, but posted on the forums http://piratemc.com/forums/server-support/support-tickets/

    Once this is built to a decent standard, we can then update in-game information to match it, and create a shortcut URL to get to it /faq and look into chat replacement text like #faq to post links and by this time I should have hopefully found out how to whitelist URLS.

    I think its not that they have nothing to get information from, because there are many ways to get your answer (website, bible, commands,..)

    but i think its more that they just dont want to read through those commands and text, because asking players is easier and most new players dont use the website

    but i hope this faq helps, so do you want us to come up with more FAQs?

    GodsDead this (For-Asking-Questions) PirateMC wiki page will do no good for help answering questions. This is because most people who are asking these questions are noobs/Deckhands. And If I just joined the server I wouldn’t know we had a website or a wiki. I personally dint know we had a wiki until Cadet-Sailor. This is my suggestion put yours in the comments. I think we should put the Wiki page right after all the /ships and /cannons and /gates /bridges etc… Have any questions? Visit http://wiki.piratemc.com/Faq for direct answers from our players. Aka-Ye Have any Qyestions? Visit http://wiki.piratemc.com/Faq yarg direct answers from our scurvy swashbucklers

    I’ll try to help out the wiki in any way I can. Maybe you could add the link to the wiki in the message that appears when everybody logs in?

    We can still use this information that is asked by players that do ask for anything on it! It means we can give them a quick answer, by doing like #faq1 and ill link to that one on the wiki page!

    How would you suggest dealing with those types of requests?

    The FAQ is a nice thing for beginners and I think for old players who don’t know how something works too. But many starters don’t even read the “Bible” and Rules. So why they should read the FAQ. (A lot of people come online and leave after 1 minute). Maybe there is a way to let the starters notice how to play through spawning on a command block or an other way of getting information without escaping.

    I will think about it and maybe send a tuorial 😉

    I started a FAQ then when I refreshed the page, it was all gone. It took along time, so im afraid I will not be able to re-do it. Sorry.

    However. within my FAQ, I added a part where you are allowed to post you’re suggesting and awnser for a question, and the creator of the FAQ can edit the post and add it in.
