Reputation: New Plugin Idea

So I was thinking of ideas for plugins and I came up with an easy way to know if a player is good or bad: Reputation. Lets say a player is well-known and kind. He does /getrep and everyone is prompted to give a rating (0-10) on him. He now as 667 reputation. This is a good number and signifies a good player. I have seen this unofficially, I thought it might be good to add it.

Commands:

/getrep A command to prompt everyone online to rate the player. Configurable cost/cooldown

/rate (player) (rating) Configurable to, say, only able to do less than 5 if you have a certain amount of reputation

Suggested features:

Put reputation on nametag

Cooldowns/costs

Tell me any ideas!

this is a good idea but is it like seeng the persons name and there ranking or /seeranking (player)

on a side note add guns guns is what we need (pistols)

scale should be rather -5 to 5, so more bad ratings wouldn’t seem better then few good ones. Also you should be able to /rate without person’s prompt, because people who would get bad rep would never run /getrep command. You should also delete ratings after a while/after player comes inactive to prevent any shadows from the past to affect it.

Also, killing a person more then 5 times in a row should give you negative rep. This will also help staff with keeping an eye out for any rule-breakers. But ranking up shou;d give you good rep, like you’re climbing up the ladder.

I don’t think there should be a limit to the amount of negative/positive rep you can accumulate. Player based voting on Reputation is a good idea, but I think there should also be ways you accumulate or loose rep, ex. killing players at warps, repeated killing, ranking up, killing a person with bad rep

This goes along wonderfully with the idea of infamy, overall great plugin!

Infact we could do something like this using our current plugins! We can create custom stats, and you can save data for each player using mycommands!
