Hey I know making money on the server is to be hard and all, but I was wondering if we could add the Jobs Plugin. I don’t have much experience in dealing with plugins or how you mess around with them. But if you would or someone could tinker with it making money harder than usually or less than usually if this could be added as a way to make money. I’ve looked some jobs up and I seen like a few that would work well with the server and some of its plugins ex. would be brewer job for those that like to brew, soldier for those who could gather mob drops, carpenters for boat building, and a few more as well. Again I don’t know much of plugins and how you mess with them but I’m just putting this out there as an idea for one.

I actually was on a server that had this plugin; and while the server had many plugins and mods, the only thing I thought that made it cool was the jobs.

I know nothing about plugins, but a search got me this:

Perhaps we could use something similar? This plugin even allows you to set taxes on certain items, which could be useful 😀

Ive trialed Jobs plugins before, All they do is reward you in money for collecting things, I don’t like this idea, Whos paying you? why are they paying you?

We can sell items into shops for money already, This is exactly whats happening, you mine/kill mobs and collect their meat, then you can sell this, Its just a shop but without having to go to the shop really.

Now, if your thinking about another method of income, mabye something more creative could be made, I really want to have automated vessels that go around trade routes with goods that can be plundered, We could have signs on these ships with money stored in them, so when broken you would get the money.

Im also thinking about having an area that re-spawned every so often near spawn, with custom bosses that would need defeating for drops, but Im not sure how either of these would technically work yet.

Yeah I see what you mean GodsDead. Or like an alternative for pvp would be like a money drop from the player you killed. Like another plugin I know is one where you can put your money on a bank note and anyone that gets it right clicks and they have money added on the amount given. Maybe have this for pvp where when you kill some one you get a random amount of money on a bank note. This could also help with trade in a way since its exchanging currency on paper in a physical form allowing for money donations easier. This could be applied to like boss mobs or like the armored mobs for a reward for killing stronger mobs that are harder to kill.

For money donations I mean like people who have a public service they allow others to use ex mob grinders or exp grinders and this could help them with money donations as well.

Just be patient… the shops are setting up right now… I for one am going to set up my shop at /warp wolf and I’m going to be buying a ton of resources that would be easy for you to get if you had mass farms…. Just sell things to shops and get money or do /sellclaimblocks

as for the thing about killing people to get bank notes, there is such thing as /bounty or other players place money rewards when given a head of the player.

With the new shop system there are many new features, I have documented a bit here

This allows Captains (at present) to charge to use of redstone devices or doors.
