Movecraft Obstructions?

Hi all,

Not 100% sure this is where this belongs, but was hoping someone might have some insight.

I recently built a schooner class ship near my fort, partially under it in a cove I built.

The water is 100% flat and at Y 63.

Anyways, I can successfully pilot the ship, but cannot move in any direction because I am obstructed.

I searched everywhere I could think of, removed stairs from the bottom, destroyed parts of my fort, all to no avail.

I eventually destroyed the whole ship, and rebuilt it further away from shore.

I am having the exact same problem with this new ship. I have checked the list of available resources, and there is nothing fancy about this ship that should stop it from working.

It has hatches, which are all 1 block away from other blocks. There are no other blocks attaching to it diagonally anywhere.

Any help/insight is appreciated. Really don’t want to have to rebuild my ship again on the offchance it won’t be obstructed.

when you say hatches are 1 block away, do you mean one block away when extended? if not they wont class as 1 block away.

if not i can try and copy the ship and paste it further to sea and try again

Hatches have a block of clearance when open.

I’ve been over the whole thing several times. Was thinking it may be a diagonal block issue with the sails, but I have made it so that wouldn’t be an issue.

It’s the schooner on my claim. Any troubleshooting you could do would be greatly appreciated.

Strange, Movecraft is very versatile and usually drags more blocks than you want!

Without screenshots it’s impossible to diagnose! you can upload them using the attatchments section when posting anew post, or just ask players or me in-game!

I would guess you are using a block that isnt allowed, Usually this is cobblestone, Or the ships made from one of the new woods that isn’t block ID 5.
