Items instantly despawned

So a Zombie and I killed each other me right outside my house, I ran back out to grab my stuff, and it was just gone >_< Lost my Lightning Bow, an Explosion Bow, a Gunner Bow, almost 2 stacks of bullets, and some other stuff that honestly wast as important.

Second, I was on last night and died a few times, items stay around for 5-10 mins. Mobs & players can pick up items, The could be blown up, lost down holes, in water lava.

can anybody else reproduce a despawn problem with specific detail relating to a plugin?

I cant fix stuff in anvils-get the fixed item, the use it, it disappears, and lose the exp, and get the two original tools back. Slightly annoying when you’ve got good, enchanted armour, and powerful tools!

Wasn’t looking to get them back, just found it annoying was all. It was right next to my sheep pit (no watter or lava), and unless they burned (because the zombie touched me after I hit it with the Lightning bow), or the sheep ate my items, I am just confused where they went since all other mobs were further away.

I cant think of any plugin that would be managing Anvils? Maybe this was a one off?

The anvils issue has been around a while, but although annoying, not particularly bad!
