I can't join the server anymore

I played a little bit of this server a while ago and really enjoyed it, but ever since minecraft 1.8 came out all it has been giving me when I try to join is a message saying “Failed to connect to server, Unknown host. I have tried both the newest version of minecraft (1.8.9) and 1.8 but neither of them work. Any suggestions?

Try again. Its resolving the hostname issue, just try again.

try putting in the IP from the website again

Ok I have this issue to, go refresh, then restart Minecraft, go to a different server or just a regular world, then try to join.

It sounds weird but it works for me.
