I was wondering if mortars can be hooked up with redstone like regular cannons. If so, can someone explain how?
Do they need a redstone torch under them?
Can the redstone wire be attached to the ignition torch from the side?
@GodsDead do you have any helpful information?December 30, 2016 at 12:56 am #45380Hey @PopcornOne,
First off I dont think tagging gods will do much good, Im sure he has a lot more things to do and their are many other players who can help you with this issue.
Onto the red stone and mortar, I have seen many players use different techniques, some attached the redstone from the bottom of the mortars and some had a strip running down the side of the mortar with no torch. The best thing you can do is experiment, that is how I figured out how redstone and cannons worked.
Good luck!

December 30, 2016 at 1:52 pm #45403Yeah you can redstone to it, here I made you a screenshot.
- You can power the mortar from where any of those redstone repeaters are.
- You need a redstone torch under it, like you can see above.
- A chest with projectiles and gunpowder can be put at any of the 3 sides where the normal torch is not, so that chest could be either side of the mortar.
You can load both projectiles and gunpowder into the chest and flick that lever and itll, load, fire, load, fire etc. Also listen to the sounds, it makes a sound when its empty, a sound when it loads and a sound when it fires (That last one is obvious haha)
Hope this helps.
