    Ok so there goes all of my ideas XD sorry if I sounded passive aggressive I didn’t mean it that way… Godsy have you checked up on the bug I listed?

    Yeah you’re right, there is that annoying bug, I forgot about it. Can’t remember if it sends it server wide or not, or just to the local vicinity.

    Maybe having a bigger amount of blocks able to be used? Like a whole town worth?

    whats your suggestion?

    It would be cool to link ships to have a fleet command or something so they all stay with each other.

    yes a bigger submarine could be better, maybe like Nautilus class (sounds better in my head) cause that sounds big.

    But it should also be ridiculously slow or either that & it uses up more fuel or needs 2 furnaces with fuel in it to work.

    That would be good.

    Oh now that does sound good! Is it instantaneous? So you can repair your ship (using materials in a obby hold etc) and continue ship battles for longer? I hope that you find a way to implement this exploit free!

    Oh now that does sound good! Is it instantaneous? So you can repair your ship (using materials in a obby hold etc) and continue ship battles for longer? I hope that you find a way to implement this exploit free!

    Its not instant, as it takes time to repair, as well as a cost, but in essence yes, you just hit a sign and it searches your ship chests for items and at a cost fixes your ship! It’s not been fully tested and seems sketchy though

    NVM Ani told me the torpedo idea I had doesn’t work -_- but ah well.

     

    But speaking more on submarines gods.

    Could there be something which can go up & down like a sub but only go a certain number of blocks beneath the surface (like 3 blocks maybe)

    It would also be smaller than a usual submarine & it could be a nice ‘ambush’ ship.

    Lying in wait for a boat to come near, it quickly floats up 3 blocks, pokes it’s cannon out of the water & BAM the other boat is gone; a bit like a crocodile.

    A name for the Boat which could be cool would be something along the lines of Crocodile related?

    i guess you could use this so u could have “repair ships” that link up with the damaged ship by a 1×1 bridge, repair using items from the repair ship, and break off and sail away

    I like the idea of cannons doing less damage, It would make for more realistic battles if the shots only destroyed maybe 1-2 blocks per hit, and maybe not even that – of course i dont know if the blocks have a health bar, but if thats the case then it would be nice if only 75% of the cannonballs, which hit the opponent ship, would make enough damage to destroy the blocks.

    It really is hard to manouvre these ships and NO ONE ever takes them out to fight each other, I’ve never seen a real ship fight where there has been cannon volleys involved and I’m sure if there is anyone who has witnessed said fight, it would have been over in seconds as one volley would be enough to kill an entire ship.

    I know this plugin is very hard to get to work porperly and is very glitchy, but no one hardy ever uses it, I’m not trying to put shame to it, but it is a reality.

    People are too afraid to loose their ships because they know they will end up on the bottom of the ocean, or just boarded in two secs and stolen by OP players.

    I really like the idea of reducing damage made by cannons.. if possible of course and I do think it might make more people take to the sea.

    Bislo has a good point.  Ships are too difficult to obtain compared to how easy they are to lose.  That is the main reason players do not use them.

    Perhaps it would be worthwhile to add more ship generators like the one at /warp ships.  They could exist in all of the major oceans, and generate a wider range of ship sizes and designs.  Players would still have the option to build their own custom ships, but allowing easier access to ships would help to mitigate fears of losing them.

    One concern I have regarding more widespread use of ships is that sunken ship debris is already a problem in our oceans.  Ships often don’t sink properly, and the remains litter the ocean’s surface.  More sea battles will inevitably cause more debris.  Would it be possible for ships to despawn instead of partially sinking?  Would despawning even fix the problem?

    These are all points that we have already planned as part of the ship updates, its already been planned to Finish the Dhows being generated and create some bigger ships, since a new sign will be introduced I will need to re-do the schooners anyways, again its already part of the plan.

    There was a reason that Chailey created a forum thread asking people for their ship locations, again if people do not participate then we cannot progress can we?

    Questions regarding move-ability, as I have said many many times already the ENTIRE point of this update is to improve the move-ability by moving to the cruise system that allows you to walk around the ship while you are moving, load cannons, attack people that are approaching, so drivebys etc. *is constantly on repeat* so again, cannon damage can be looked at AFTER the ship update has happened as it will completely change PVP in ships with them.
