claims update??????

has any one else been experiencing a change in the claims mod.

every time i try to claim something i get a message saying it needs to be at least 5 wide and 100 block is the minimum claim size……

what happened to 8*8 claims.

8X8 claims cover that amount of space, it claims down and up awell

8×8 is not its was only 64 blocks….. the hole up and down blocks things was irrelivent

I believe that this is effect of the discussion that was live few months ago. That was about adjusting claim requirements to make it possible to claim large railways, cannals, paths, etc. Those are usually extremely long (sometimes thousands of blocks) and only 3-5 blocks wide. This update allows greater variability in claim usage. I see it as purely positive thing, even though the min claim area requirement changed from 64 to 100.
