I understand that winning a siege gives you access MCShovel, this just shows us that it will have to exact opposite result than cysteen was talking about “the fruit is a RANDOM tp. meaning you may or may not get a tp into a part of a base. plus, you must WIN the siege first. meaning people will actually have to fight back” I think the way it will go is people will just claim an extra 20 blocks on all sides and fill them with solid blocks to counter against the fruit, making alot of big stone boxes. Or even worse people will end up living underground surounded by stone so fruits wont work. They take the skill out of getting into a base and also take take use of making a secure base when the only way to keep your stuff safe is to have a small room with blocked chests!. I’m not being salty congrats on a well done siege, I just agree with what godsy was saying “I don’t like the idea of these”.
April 30, 2016 at 12:24 am #33679On a fun little note the secret to beating the chorus fruit is building a sky base and claiming around it.
Also chorus fruit is op but we need a way to get into stone boxes because some people don’t understand the fact that this server needs builds to be siegeable for the entire idea of sieging to work.
April 30, 2016 at 12:33 am #33680I see 2 main flaws in your logic.
1. I think the way it will go is people will claim an extra 20 blocks on all sides and fill them with a solis blocks to counter against the fruit, making alot of big stone boxes.
People have to be insane to build 20 block thick walls. lets say that your base is…30 blocks by 30 blocks and 10 blocks high. In order to have a “chorus fruit proof base” you would need over 500 stacks of stone brick(over 32K blocks).
2. They take the skill out of getting into a base and also take take use of making a secure base when the only way to keep you stuff safe is to have a small room with blocked chests!
Where is the skill in getting into a base in the first place if its a solid stone box? There is no skill in attacking something that cannot be attacked. It is also very easy as Cysteen said to spend 5 seconds and put a block over your chest and break it as well.
Chorus fruit gives an actual meaning to attacking unsiegeable base nuber 6356. The fact that you now have a chance to actually get inside would motivate many more players to go and attack someone with the hopes of getting into their god stash or diamond stash.

-Robert W. ServiceApril 30, 2016 at 12:40 am #33682Yes i do agree builds need to be siegeable but we already have enderpearls and accesstrust for buttons, why do we need more to make it more easy to get in? every body has a vault or 3 for there stuff, most including alot who have commented on this post have theres underground in a box the only thing these fruits do is drive more people underground which will spoil the grand building projects on this server and therefor end up making the sieges harder and less often which is not what any of us want.
April 30, 2016 at 12:42 am #33683How does one get into a solid stone box I ask. Please tell me how.
A promise made is a debt unpaid.
-Robert W. ServiceApril 30, 2016 at 12:46 am #33684my box as you call it is not solid, there is lots of ways in if you win the siege without using chorus fruits. and how does one get into a bedrock vault claimed 20+ block extra around it in stone, they cant not even with the chorus fruit, so as i said this will drive more people underground making the siege process pointless as you said the whole point is “to go and attack someone with the hopes of getting into their god stash or diamond stash.”
April 30, 2016 at 12:48 am #33685* a vault at bedrock
April 30, 2016 at 3:03 am #33687to solve the problem of someone raiding you, place a block over the chest? idk, sounds like a silly suggestion… I mean, yeah someone got in. yeah you died. yeah you lost they can push buttons and get to your vault. I wonder what would happen if there was a block or 2 over that chest filled with armor and diamonds? soo wouldn’t that in theory stop any kind of “raiding” that can or may take place? cant be really called a raid if they don’t get anything. well except a head and maybe whats on you. people can still build pretty things above ground, all the important items be kept in storage vaults underground. I have a few pretty builds above my base, and I have evermoor. its all supposed to be for looks really. theres nothing to take, mainly because I don’t keep any valuables in either area, and all resources are in Covered chests. if I leave a chest open, its more than likely because I don’t care for that stuff, or I derped and forgot I unblocked it. at that point it is my fault. if you keep your valuables in locked chests theres no raiding that can take place. you can still have pretty bases, you just gotta be prepared. if youre gonna go build, carry a blackfire potion and a couple enderpearls. drink a pot, and pearl out. or don’t, get killed and yadda yadda yadda…. >_>
If I had a nickel for every time I, Ooo hey, a butterfly!! *runs off chasing the butterfly*

Ironic
April 30, 2016 at 8:42 am #33695If this is a poll, I support the chorus fruit use being unlocked after the defender dies.
April 30, 2016 at 12:59 pm #33703i just wish that staff could judge this situation with unbiased answers. right now everyone saying chorus fruit should be allowed after siege is CoV (with the exception of apple) when CoV was the one to siege. it would be the same way if all BE was to say “no they shouldnt be able to be used after siege” when most BE ppl just want some clarification (including mountain and turkey, the defenders).

April 30, 2016 at 1:32 pm #33705I agree completely cap, my very first post stated “is this aloud”, COV get very defencive when things like this come up. I am only asking a question about the legality of using chorus fruit this way. An unbiased view would be nice maybe @GodsDead could give his view? like i said though this is just clarification I am looking for.
April 30, 2016 at 1:55 pm #33707FSSSSSSSS It’s spelt ALLOWED!Aloud means not silently.

JDM Cars are the bestApril 30, 2016 at 3:19 pm #33709Everything is working as it should.
- Chorus fruits do not work in claims, but they do have a large radius, so if you have a very small claim without padding then they can be used outside of this claim with a chance of getting inside.
- They are turned back on when you win a siege, this is a cool down period that allows soft blocks to be broken, buttons to be used and it also allows enterpearls and chorus fruit to be used, as they have won the siege, this is a 5 min “loot” time.
- As already said, putting blocks on top of chests locks them, a lot of people keep telling me “Its impossible to loot! as everyone always locks their chests!” so im glad you made this post as it does show a good balance, and that it is possible (If you are smart) to use built in game mechanics to loot (If the player does not put solid blocks on chests haha)
Either way There can be no balance between “I want to siege people and steal all their stuff, but I don’t want to have my base sieged and have my stuff taken”
I did just read your post #33676 after I wrote all that, so you do understand how it works! I do get very frustrated when people use the word “glitch” completely wrong though, its thrown around with “hacking” and people will get very heated when they are accused of hacking and glitching when they do not.
I really don’t understand why people don’t make traps, you could easily design a 20 foot wall trap all around your base that they all have a chance in teleporting into, so they have a chance in teleporting into a trap with tripwires that crushes the player, or opens up the floor to drop them to their death.
we have these amazing mechanics that people don’t use, the best use ive seen of using bridges was ma_c_hi, he designed rooms that look like vaults that all have fake floors, he spawns on death in his control room to drop these mofos, plus if you use wooden buttons you can use arrows to set them off from a distance. theres no reason you couldn’t even boobytrap your actual vault floor.
And I have to say the complete opposite, there isn’t an “issue” with it being “too easy” to get in, its entirely the opposite, I have players left right and center complaining its “too hard” to siege, and this is a “PVE server” because people just hunker up in their bases, I cant have people complain from both sides?
I think this is more of a butt-hurt post than anything wrong with the server, I don’t think this is my fault. It is as simple a protecting chests. thats it.
