    When the server’s world boarder expanded it opened up an new ocean. this ocean is substantial in size, and connects to the southern ocean, but neither the western, or southern ocean connect to the central ocean. I propose a server-wide project to dig a canal connecting the western and central ocean.

    would be easier to do it around -3100, 3100 only need to knock a few islands out the way.

     

    then dig around -1200, 1900.

     

    would a lot less work to do.

    While I see your point, i believe that a channel directly to the west and southern oceans would be the best choice.

    How wide/deep were you thinking? I started mine from 660 to 671 and as deep as 60.

    Yea…. Well um a lot of that is claimed by Evermoor so i mean don’t build to close because I CNT have people build to close near me. even tho PIRATECRAFT is changing I don’t want those problems being bought to my soil, now if I’m wrong and it’s not near where I think it is then we wre kk

    I’ll survey the route today and see if any of the path is claimed. If we have to go around anything it’ll make it a little more work, but manageable.

    If anyone wants to donate wood to make tools, that’d be great! It’s essentially a horizontal quarry so I’m getting a lot of stone and coal for my trouble.

    EDIT: It’s clear, the canal won’t pass near anyone’s claims. It’s a little narrow so I’m expanding it. It’s now from 660 to 680.

    It needs to be wider, I want it to comfortably fit all ship types, and deeper also. The only thing I need from the cove is claim blocks, I don’t want this channel to have a schooner stuck in it while we try to widen it.

    At LEAST 25 wide and ten deep, although it will probably need to be wider, and I would like to see your end of the canal.
