Can't Resolve Hostname

I’m quite interested in discovering and experiencing the PirateCraft server and its many amazing features. However, when trying to connect to the server using the “mc.piratemc.com” ip address, my minecraft returns the old “Can’t Resolve Hostname” error. I understand the server is also whitelisted and haven’t been able to find an application if there is one. If not is there any way someone might be able to join the server at this point? Any help greatly appreciated!

Edit: After exploring the forum more, found someone mentioning the test server. “test.piratemc.com” lets me connect and explore.

My minecraft suddenly decided to let me connect to the server. Not sure if someone white-listed me. If so, thank you for your help!

I’ve actually been having the same issue for all of today. I tried connecting to the usual piratecraft server and, after a few seconds, I lose connection and get the following message:
Connection Lost
Internal Exception: java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host
I would not have usually mentioned this but for the fact that all the other servers I’ve tried worked fine.
I’ll give it a few days and see what happens, perhaps the same thing as what happened to the person above this will happen to me.
