There seem to be network issues with the host today, I have been dropped twice from the connection to the server.

This means that the servers are staying up fine, but their connection to the internet is down. Most likely a switch or router on the hosts network has fried, there is nothing I can do apart from send them a ticket and ask for an ETA on a fix.
