Right, as I’m sure you are all aware, Minecraft is now running 1.7.2, and this offers a fresh start for the server. This thread will be a place where you can suggest ideas for the new server, such as minigames, plugins, maps for minigames, and so on. I will start, with my first suggestion, a minigames called:

The Pirates Life

Classes:

Diver- Pumpkin head, full gold, can breathe under-water, slow on land, strong underwater

Deckswab- Default class, has paper with knockback (cloth), and a stick (broom handle) with medium damage. Armour could be leather…

Sniper- Only 2 per team, spawns in crows nest, has chain armour, lots of food, bow and lots of arrows.

Buccaneer- Standard pirate, full iron, sword called cutlass, regeneration potions.

Chef- Equipped with throw-able food (plugins for this) and an axe with lots of power. Very slow, decked out in diamond- weakness are arrows and wide open spaces.

Maps-

Shipwreck- 3 ships, one lodged on a “needle”, two directly next to each-other, with walkways from one to the other. Lots of areas to climb, close quarters action in the hull, all out war on the deck.

Crescent Island- Name can be changed. A tropical island, curved in the shape of the moon, sandy shores, then a jungle biome crescent in the middle, lots of high vantage points. Teams spawn at opposing ends, and can either swim to each-other, or battle it out in the jungle. Lots of tripwires to tnt, and a refreshingly defendable lake in the middle of the jungle, with a river leading out to the sea. This map can be used as king of the hill/lake, or pirate deathmatch. Quite versatile.

This sounds great, but we would need a bespoke plugin to run that!
We have Ultimate Arena installed that lets you build custom classes for a range of arenas.
these are the game types avalible:
PvP – (Like a TDM arena)
Mob – (Survive wave after wave of mobs)
Conquest – (Conquest styled game from Battlefield 3)
King of the Hill (KOTH) – (FFA King of the hill, you need to stand on a point for an accumulative 60 seconds to win)
Bomb – (TDM arena, red team is attacking bomb points, blue team is defending them. To cap a point, stand on it for 10 second, to defend a point, stand on it for 10 seconds.
FFA – (Every one for themselves, in a stock FFA match, users have 4 lives, the last one alive wins)
Spleef – (Players attempt to break blocks below their opponents to kill them. Last one alive wins)
Hunger – (Based off of the popular book/movie, players spawn in a large arena and fight to the death using materials they find in the wild. Last player alive wins)
Infect – (1 player spawns as the “infected”, their goal is to kill all the “living”)
CTF – (Players are split into two teams. The goal is to capture the other team’s flag and bring it back to their own base)

By the way, where does spleef come from? Spade and what? Splegg comes from spade and egg, so where does spleef come from
Splegg- a variant of spleef when eggs are fired out of your shovel at the ground, to destroy it.
