@snapplays thank you for your response.  I appreciate that we are addressing our differences without resorting to useless name calling.  While I would have preferred to address the matter that is underlying your ultimate decision to leave BE internally, there are a number of reasons this did not happen.  The issue between Moo and Taulov, both of whom i consider good friends, is beyond my ability to understand.  I have asked both of them why the thing happened and neither of them really had a good answer.  Taulov got upset that Moo joined a rival crew and that may have been a large part of the issue.  Whatever the cause, Taulov did what he did and acted on his own.  His actions were not those of the BE or the BE government.  When Moo asked me, who also had trust at that base at the time, I assured him that neither I nor Taulov had anything to do with it.  I said that because I was not involved and because TNTing a base is inconsistent with BE standards and the player I had come to know Taulov to be.  However, Taulov did accept responsibility to Moo when asked directly and immediately started to try to resolve the problem between these 2 players personally.  So long as Moo and Taulov worked out their differences there was no real need to escalate the matter to their respective crews.  From the brief understanding I had of what happened I do not believe any BE laws were broken since Moo was a member of a rival crew.  I believe that at the point Taulov tried to make in his post indicating that the matter was “closed” was to tell us that he and Moo had worked things out.  As Minister of Defense and Justice I think you could have conducted your own investigation to determine the facts and suggest to the membership appropriate remedies.  In any case, I am not aware that Moo or anyone from CLTN made a report to the BE leadership or Taulov’s actions.  I know the TNT side of things was escalated to Gods, who was thankfully able to restore Moo’s base.  I have been able to piece all this together because I have had open conversations with both Moo and Taulov.

Let me be clear to everyone: BE does not utilize or condone blackmail, bullying, harassment, or grief.  That is a crew position.  Now each crew is a collection of individual players and from time to time we may have players or circumstances that are not in keeping with those standards.  We prefer that offending players work things out on their own but will get involved if necessary.  That is where we are now: Taulov tried to work things out with Moo on his own.  Moo is apparently still dissatisfied.  I am working with Moo and @riverwood202 to resolve the issue.

As Ketoh said, many of the CLTN members are former BE and know that what I have said about BE principles to be true.  I believe that you have conflated the actions of one player with those of the crew.  Your post said “I could not stay in a crew whose leadership, after blowing up a former member’s base, decided to cover it up…”  That action was not taken by our leadership which you as a member of that leadership know.

Now on to what I believe could be your true frustration: the timeing of everything.  In the initial aftermath of the raid no one knew what happened.  Moo changed his handle and tried /msg me on the server over the course of a couple of days asking if I blew up his base.  I had no idea who this Kauhy was and I had certainly not blown up any bases.  So I made short brush off denials to Moo not knowing it was him.  Once I figured out who this guy was I was immediatly concerned and tried to help Moo figure out what happened.  It was during this time that Taulov accepted responsibility to Moo and began trying to work things out.  As I said earlier, we as a crew prefer to have players work out disputes between themselves.  I think this is more likely to result in something both can live with rather than a leadership mandated solution.  And to let that happen we need to give it some time.  There was a delay between the raid and identification of the responsible party and another delay as the parties tried to resolve things.  It sucks that it takes time to work these things out but I don’t see any other way short of launching an internal investagation from the start.

Snap, you were a great crewmate and a very supportive leader.  I take issue whith your post because you said “the BE raided and blew up a former member” again conflating the actions of a single member with that of the entire crew.  You then proceed to tell us that you are going to be disloyal and then share widely your perception of the way the crew works and internal forum communications.  You close with the hashtag campaign that CLTN has been using to drum up war with BE litteraly promoting violence against the crew you claim to be so loyal to.

I hope this post has shed some light for those that care on the backstory to this unfortunate personal rivalry between Taulov and Moo.  I applaud CLTN for masterfully exploiting this incident to sew server wide drama.  Chaos is good for pirates right?

tl;dr  :  CLTN is warmongering their way into piratemc history / BE doesn’t even know what hit it and is too slow to even react / carry on, nothing to see here

I was surprised about this nonsense about “BE bullying and oppressing” smaller crews into colonies by Ketoh, but then network saying he wrote it, it made more sense. Ketoh knows the BE and should know that stuff like that would never happen.  The BE is rather reaching out to smaller crews and helping them getting a footing in this crazy pirate world we call piratemc.com  . The BE is always helping other new crews and new players and has not given up her peaceful ways.

The entire thing with Moo and Taulov is entirely an adventure of the both of them. Only those two know what went on. I heard about all of that through other people and still don’t know what happened. I know either one and am not picking any sides, because I plainly don’t have enough information to form an opinion. Those two should have a chance to solve their problems by themselves and their crews should not be held responsible if you ask me. Anyone rushing to a judgement, please take time to hear either side.

I think this entire thread is about the CLTN trying to enforce a war they are not easily getting. It is warmongering plain and simple!

For some reason the CLTN has a very unhealthy anti-BE stance. Some people even shout out in chat “death to BE” – even though it wasn’t even a BE member they just killed. Yes, we can see the “death to the Brits” everywhere. Come up with something more clever.

BE is the one-and-only  (correct me if I am wrong) crew in piratecraft that is a true Democracy. We are open to everyone. Anyone in the crew can make their mark and participate in the process of making the crew better and even change it. No one person can misuse it’s power to get the crew off track – even when the_network is  telling you differently. (Obviously, network – your sleeper-agent didn’t get you the right info. Maybe ask Hyrda on how to do it properly., they seem to be pretty successful doing that.) Unfortunately – I have to say – the BE government is not acting very quickly as one might be expecting it from maybe other crews; members have to be informed and replies to be awaited with maybe rebuttals and then votes, etc etc …   Large governing bodies dawdle and meander, that’s the nature of the beast.  😉

Still members of the BE are all over the map trying to build and improve things for the server.
Members of the CLTN I can see …. I mean I can’t see, running around in invis&god killing people left and right. That is only my personal opinion. Go ahead and show me that I am wrong!

And yes of course, I will try to divert the fight, will try to be unreachable by you – anything else would be foolish. I am not a great pvp-er and frankly I don’t give a crap about kdr. That’s not why I am here. Not my thing.

Well hopefully the thing with Taulov got settled. Now i wasnt really following what was going on with the colonisation etc. due to irl issues but the original plan was to protect our colonies, attack their enemies and help with building. The price i suggested was 1 gold bar per week, which is if you ask me a pretty good deal for all of that. As i said before i’ve been off because of irl stuff so i dont really know what is the actual price now etc.. I think the entire thing can be talked out without killing nooblets in the process and if necessary change things a bit. Lets avoid getting into wars because of personal issues.

Hey since everyone is choosing to criticize Keto for this post, let me shed some light here as him posting it was to test something. I wrote the post on behalf of the crew and Keto posted it so all of you didn’t start screaming moderator abuse (or some other crap) in this thread, but you know what I don’t care cause it looks like all of BE members are making weak comments anyways. So I’m going to respond to everyone.

Kirn: Really k, k is the best you could come up with. One of the most uneducated responses when you have been called out and feel like a decent response isn’t worth your time. Dude get out. You sit in a box in the sky or in a little castle with some ships and occasionally PVP, then you make big talk when people talk bad about BE. Dude no one cares, you’re just in that crew to look important.

Crazy: Helping a noob town? Sure maybe you made friends with someone and said that if they pay you taxes you’ll continue. But we know how BE works and we’ve seen the way you treat other crews. Just wait, if we see you people belittle a crew into being a colony of BE. You will be met with pain from our crew. You guys are nothing but near spammers and loggers. It’s a fun challenge to catch you guys when you don’t see us coming.

Agent: TheAgentGamer, the only oppression that we force on another crew is BE. Because we are indeed at war with them, and we want to see nothing more than to see London burn and BE disbanded. The only BE members we like are Lazy as she is actually a nice player who only is there to help people, and Jolem who is my friend and sticks to himself. Most of the BE leadership are power hungry mongrels. We will try not to attack your crew as much, but we only kill randoms because that’s what the pirate raids are all about. We get kills and win sieges to raise our KDRs and gather supplies. We don’t want to be seen as angels, we want to be seen as a real pirate crew. It’s not about morals, its about them being a dictatorship that bullys other crews to their will. When we kill a newbie, we have a reason (horrible attitudes, trash-talking). When BE kills newbies, it’s to force them into submission. As for proof, we have proof of the Taulov stuff and unnamed sources for the colonization + taxes information. But as seen in this thread, they have confirmed they are starting their colonization plan (proof of that enough).

M4RT3S: No it’s not a joke, we wish to see BE burn and show what they are truly becoming. We are a group of raiders, a group of pirates, what we aren’t is a oppressive government of egocentric players with a big town of tutorial builds. Yeah, we are offering help against those who may be threatened to pay freaking taxes to another crew. That doesn’t need to be a thing and if you haven’t noticed it didn’t last for the actual Great Britain in the American Revolution. Taxation is not supported by Pirates. I respect Apple more than BE, but if you are going to start defending them, know your facts and actually write a post rather than just trying to trash talk our crew and TAS.

Snap: I have a lot of respect for you. If you would have stayed in the election and won, I know you would have made the crew a respectable place again. As I said in agent’s post I will try to work on that within my own crew, but we mainly attack nooby crews for poor attitudes in chat or trash-talking. #BlameTaulov is in reference to Kau’s base. For those who don’t know, Kauhy (a super kind a peaceful guy) who trusted a lot of his friends to his base had all of his items stolen, then his base blown up. Now after speaking to each friend, he figured out who did it. Taulov and BE raided and detonated his entire base because Kauhy was joining Jmoo’s crew and the CLTN for fun. Apparently before even talking to Kau, Taulov took it into his own hands to steal everything his former friend had worked for. Now after talking Taulov realized what he did was a little wrong and returned a bit if Kau’s items. But proceeded to lie and say that the rest of the items blew up. Which we all know is not true at all. Kau got the main portion of the griefed base itself backdated so that he didn’t just have a hole in the middle of his claim, but none of his godsets or op items. So the campaign started. Taulov has pushed us to deeper measures against his crew, which includes some fun treats. Anyway’s back to your post Snap. You totally called that they’d call you disloyal (BenTheBruce), and that’s just because you have backed up the cowardly attacks that they do on kind people. I thank you for your support on that. As for Taulov closing your post on their forums, that’s hilarious, he’s honestly just trying to look big. What’s really funny about Taulov is how much of a copycat he is too, his base south of Lazy’s town is a a copy of the Hydra base, complete with pipe exits and the triangular structure right next to it. Taulov has done nothing more than make himself look bad to the server and shine an even worse light on BE.

Benthebruce (2 posts, ooo big lad): I think I’ve already addressed those first three sentences of your post. But yeah, we have been trying to start the official war and you guys are too scared to accept it, which is really funny. As for Agent’s post I already talked about all that too. So feel free to read. You probably couldn’t have said anything better yourself because you do nothing more than hide in your little box of a base all day. So go ahead write a post with your own thoughts if you have any. Don’t even talk down to Snap, he’s more of a respectful BE member than you will ever be. Did you really just accuse him of “abusing your trust in him” I hope he has more to expose honestly. Cause it sounds like you’re trying to hide some stuff now. I encourage him to share whatever he can about your little colonization plan. The entire capaign of #BlameTaulov is indeed to insite war. But the campaign started because of the actions of BE. Acknowledge that.

It was my understanding that everything Taulov had from the raid had been returned.  He just told me that there are some iron blocks that haven’t made the return trip but they are forthcoming.  Perhaps we can discuss privately what you believe has not been returned?

I have very little information regarding the whole incident between Taulov and Moo, can I get an explanation or sort of what exactly happened?  Like why and what if Taulov did what and such because as of now i’m kind of in the dark as of what is going on between the two.  I saw you 3 where referencing the incident a lot so I just want to know what ya’ll stories are on what happened.

@benthebruce , the point of #BlameTaulov is because of the unjust (as Snap said) raid on Minister_Moo (aka Kauhy) by Taulov. Moo’s base was entirely blown up at first, and had to be regened. Once Moo’s stuff is returned we will stop with the #BlameTaulov. Yes, this is kind of blackmail, but as you know, actions have consequences. The consequence for raiding Moo is not just directed towards Taulov, but the whole crew. If he wants to keep his crew from suffering and falling under attack by CLTN members and allies, he has to return Moo’s rightful stuff. This was a disgusting move from Taulov, a British Official. He lost a lot of respect by blowing up Moo’s base and not returning the stuff, and BE will continue to suffer because of his actions. Also, do you really want your PM doing this, blowing up people’s bases, saying the problem was “dealt with” and not returning the stuff? If this is what BE wants as their image, then damn BE has changed a lot, and in a bad way.

Before I am told that I am being disloyal to BE, please remember that I have been a BE government member for nearly five months and as such I am familiar with the way the crew works. I have already decided to leave the crew and to cancel running for PM. This is due to the extraordinarily unjust raid on Kau’s base. I would also like to add that a post I wrote in the BE forums after hearing about what happened to Kau, in which I urged whoever had committed the crime to give back Kau’s items and help him rebuild his base, was closed a matter of hours afterwards by the same person responsible for the matter, who claimed that the matter had “been dealt with”.
