Wow you live pretty close to me Chailey…but @Palmerageddon and @Crazy you know what I meant, fish and chips is a famous dish in England and is more popular here that in Israel or Portugal or whatever. Even Indian curry is now the UK’s most eaten meal even though it doesn’t particularly originate here, same with tea, that comes from some Asian countries.

Horse armor based guns are actually really well done, it would be a great addition to the game, but I do suppose it would create new possible problems, like Palmerageddon says, but I personally think once 1.9 comes out, guns based on something like horse armor won’t sound as ridiculous anymore, as their type of damage won’t be affected by the update, and if they are then its a case of modifying the plugin to tweak the problems.

Developer presented a “fix” that may or may not fix crews being deleted. I have applied this update, and I have pushed a backup of crews and members from the 9th to the database, this is now live.
I will keep this thread open to diagnose if there are any more issues, if after a few reboots everything is fine then reply in this thread and I will close it.

@Palmerageddon when I have the creative world up, you should build it there.
One issue: Players that just abandon the ships, It would need to be reset, There could be a button to re-paste the schematic of the area, this could be abused though, someone could press it when the player is in the boat, causing all kinds of issues. The area could also be made deckhand only, so other players couldn’t mess with its mechanics. But we need a technical method to reset the training area.

Erm. I think that means you do have an enemy then. Icanra. Though if you could sort out your differences I’m sure Rep or Crazy or RS could let you to the Allied chat considering Icanra was there first.
Icanra is no enemy, he is neutral. He misses me, so i doubt he will do much to me.
My point is, the whole “empire” thing is overdone and a bit dull in my opinion. There’s plenty of other kinds of governments (and I’m assuming you’re probably not going to do the whole “empire” thing right, just like BE and many others.) that could have been used.

Will the stadium have to be built by hand? I’ve calculated the (red) running track alone will require approximately 48 stacks of 64 red clay and two double chests full of quartz blocks to complete.
@Palmerageddon @OfficialRS @MCMonkeyGMx @CaptainCrackerz @anyone else interested: We need to choose a place to put the stadium. It’s current dimensions are 148×220 (32’560 claim blocks, phew!). With seating it would probably be more like 230×300 (69’000 claim blocks). It’s been downsized and the running track now corresponds with the official Olympic proportions. Also, would anyone be willing to help donate resources/harvest blocks if we have to build it by hand?

Uhm Palmerageddon the basic idea of piratemc was to implement ships and use them for…stuff.
But since tpa got implemented they got used less.
You don’t have to play in the new world if you don’t want to but i hope that at least some players come to piratemc because they want to sail.
Since we couldn’t just take out tpa and warps since some shopowners paid real money for it gods had this awesome idea of a sparate world with trading and sailing for all those who wanted to do it.
And that’s why and how basically this world should work…i guess i don’t have any idea how i am going to get there but i swear: sailing is great and you should try it either in the normal piratecraft or in the new world.
First I’d like to speak in my defense against Palmerageddon I reference AC IV because it is probably one of the better known games with ship and cannon battles, this server directly quotes “Working Ships and Cannons” it’s name is PirateCraft so I believe I have the ability to reference AC and not be called a plank.
Second point once again going to Palmerageddon you really shouldn’t speak about obsidian as a glass well at least not the kind of glass you think of. Glass that it made in windows, water glasses, and generally those types of glassware and such are soda-lime glass and breaks relativity easily. Glass is and can be very strong like crazy strong not even to mention making glass stronger in forms such as the Prince Ruperts drop which has been applied to large scale glass-ware. Back to obsidian, obsidian is one of the toughest naturally forming materials that we don’t have to lay it’s bonds flat just to make it strong obsidian is tough shit, hence why native Americans used it for their tools which some that have been found still retain quite a sharp edge. Now imagine a 1m^3 solid block of obsidian it’s gonna take some umpf to get through that.
Crazy did a great way of stating that it won’t be OP to new players because not everyone is gonna be wheeling around cannons to door to door. Not to mention that if things went back don’t you think maybe the large factions would first try to raid each others bases and get the loot they’ve had their eyes on since the start but haven’t been able to get?

The issue was Palmerageddon was claiming above what he wanted claiming assuming claims went from bedrock to sky.
This is not the case, once you have created your brand new claim, you have to explore and build up/down for the claim to expand, or when you are creating or resizing a claim resize it from a block at bedrock/sky to claim that area.

Me and @bislo1 tested custom named items, so that only these items cant be bought/sold from special venders, and it works! So that’s cool, but I also want to test NCP’s to sell to, as that might be cool (Maybe an addition at a later date)
@BGraph you keep your homes, nothing will be lost, people just won’t be able to use /home for the 2 days when we run the event.
@Palmerageddon I don’t want this thread to go off task, if you want to talk about charging for teleportation please create a new thread, Im not in favor of charging for warps/tp’s for this version of PirateCraft.
