Since yall are thinking about adding another world, here’s my idea. A survival pvp server with 2 teams, brits and pirates or something, no team killing. I think it would be interesting to have such large teams.
July 26, 2015 at 1:43 am #18347dude no…..this world is a no tp world thats just an extention to this world this world will have shops and it will be a source of money but the only way to get there is by boat and thats what we want to use boats just like the real pirates! this idea is a bit Op and too self sentered on the gruops….no offence but if you wanna know more tomorow there will be a video all about it 😛

July 26, 2015 at 1:54 am #18349Empires vs Pirates that”ll be cool however that would have to be part of a minigame server. And I’m sure people would prefer a world with no tps and such

July 26, 2015 at 6:03 am #18355I just thought it might be interesting on a world with only 2 teams
July 26, 2015 at 8:44 am #18359I swear Empires versus pirates is already happening you know the Outlaw War?
And anyway it’s not just Brits fighting the pirates and I know it was a bit like that during those centuries and in popular modern culture pirate films, yes it was like that but turning your boat upside down never teleported you anywhere unless if you count Heaven or Hell.
July 26, 2015 at 10:16 am #18366It’s an interesting idea. I imagine you could make a cops vs. robbers type of mini game out of it.
Heck, team PvP mini games with a 2 or 3 teams and a pirate theme would be REALLY fun! You could do so much with it…
July 26, 2015 at 10:50 am #18368July 26, 2015 at 12:03 pm #18369I thought that would be cool. If the new survival world was in adventure mode, or whatever the one is where you can’t break blocks, new players would have to join towns. Like assassins creed, areas could be controlled by one faction, and there would be wars to reclaim it; ship battles would also occur.
Idk, it would be cool.
July 26, 2015 at 3:07 pm #18383Oy crazy i like this faction thing.
I actually had something like this in mind that big factions like the BE controlled the towns built around the tradeposts that gods would supply to earn money.
Additionally the BE could get fees or tolls by tresspassing traders because the ports of the factions should obiously have guards guaranteeing the safety of traders.BUT i don’t like the Adventure mode idea because if there are only big towns:
1. Pirates wouldn’t have the possibility of easy cash
2. players who want to live alone or build giant farms would be limited by the townspace and walls
3.If everyone has to live in a town this would either be a lot of chaos or a lot of work for the factionJuly 26, 2015 at 3:20 pm #18386guys…i dont know if its just me but dint godsy say that he hated faction servers? also the new world will be a danguerouse place alredy…and sting in adventure mode you can break blocks but only with tools it makes minecraft a bit more “Human” so aslong as you have /kit tools you willl be fine

July 26, 2015 at 3:24 pm #18387July 26, 2015 at 3:34 pm #18388Hey @Stingbarry, what if it was an adventure mode world where players can’t place any blocks? You could buy ships using the Cove system and you’d have to either trade items as a merchant or rob other players to earn riches and glory!
Players who want to become merchants can sail from city isle to city isle buying goods in one place and selling at the other. These goods are sold by specialist villagers in each city and would be basic Minecraft materials such as food, armour, tools, weapons, ores, etc. In different ports the goods would be sold at different prices and players would earn a profit sailing back and forth – this is the economy idea that has been talked about many, many times in the past. After earning enough money through trading, they could rent or sponsor a shop somewhere and receive a percent of the profits that shop makes from player traffic.
Warlike factions could /siege towns and capture them with a capture-the-flag type mechanism. The faction who controls the island can then set taxes for every shop on the island, pass laws and generally run the place as they see fit. If they run the place badly, people will flock to other ports to turn a profit.
Then there would be the pirates. They’d sink merchants’ ships, rob them of their goods and demand payments for safe passage between ports. If a faction wants to keep making money, they’d have to set up a fleet to combat the pirate forces.
This would all be in adventure mode. Players can’t damage the pre-built islands, only each others’ ships with tools and cannons. Maybe towns could be damaged too during sieges, but they’d have to regenerate afterwards. Players would have to work together in large crews to be effective which would make PirateCraft less solo-craft, encourage trade and support people to work together as a team!
Would this be possibly technically, @Godsdead?
July 26, 2015 at 3:49 pm #18389I know what you are saying Paul but i don’t like the idea for some reason.
My mainproblem is that the possibility to be creative and build stuff you like makes minecraft unique and if we disable this in the only part of our serverworld where sailing would be important it could be a total turnoff.
Many players like to sail, yes, but not all of them want to be traders or pirates.
With that action you basically take away the possibility from them to decidde what they want to do on the server because crafting or farming becomes nearly impossible because you can’t obtain materials if you don’t have money. For instance i don’t like to buy a ship at cove.
They are well made and look good but none of them is built the way i need or like it.
Many ships that are there on cove have no real storage room and even if we would design new ships we can’t force people to use them because they propably could design ships suited better for their own use.
I have many different boats and i have to admit that i also jsut like building ships but i do this because i couldn’t work with any of the ships from cove most of them are just fancy trophies that are impractical for transport or fishing(the only things i use ships for).People should be able to decide and build what they want after all that’s why most of us play minecraft.
July 26, 2015 at 3:53 pm #18390wait no placing blocks? thats a nice idea exept tlest allow placing blocks in the abandon islands ok? like lost islands that cant be seen in the map that you find and turn into you’re base.also lest not allow the livemap at all in the new world players have to actually explore the world for it! man i feel so inspired right now to make a video about it! but i’m trying to find a better recording system (alredy dowdloaded 5 they keep getting better but i wanna find that special one 😛 )
