Okay , I really like the idea of a new spawn and a nice tutorial ( I spent my first two hours of the server digging through the wiki and forums ;P), but I think it would be better as a sort of scripted experience rather than a slide show. Like maybe you start up by waking on a ship and being brought to a dock. then a npc shows you around and brings you to various tutorial rooms. It would be better as a place that isn’t connected to the normal world, or has no chat and each tutorial only has one person. Then at the end of the tutorial the npc could give you a boat and you’d sail in a direction given to you. Then you black out again and wake up at the shore of the spawn with the boat in your inventory. I’m not sure if this is the best (or easiest to execute) approach but I definitely think it might be cool.

While I’m not sure what qualifies one to be project manager, I’m down to work on it. I’m a big Pirates of the Caribbean fan, and think of Port Royal after seeing you’re inspiration picture. Would be pretty awesome to make.

2 things here BGraph, All these secret talents! Custom terrain, we could create some awesome things! second, those renders you made, how did you make them? Did you use Cinema 4D for those?

Well unfortunately Timhuisman has been very preoccupied with things, as have I haha. This post just got lost in the archives for a while.

I am once again happy to contribute and/or lead the project if necissary, as i have more time on my hands again (I quit my boring job to free up time for study).

Me and Tim were planning to lead it anyhow, but he was too busy to come on and help discuss things. Sorry – i didn’t want to start without him.

I just need to know when we want to start this – it was originally planned for me and Tim to start in September I think. :/

I’d be happy to help too. May I suggest looking to the TV show Black Sails for more Assassins Creed Black Flag style inspiration. The design of Nassau in the show and the way the pirates are portrayed is what drew me to the server in the first place.
