1) http://piratemc.com/groups/aeos-island/
Formerly the island home of Athenmos, it has since become a very popular market town.
2) Reapers town, often known simply as /warp shop. Lancodius or similar is the name I remember.
3) This was the HQ of wind, which fell a while back. I guess the island could go by the name of wind, but that would probably be incorrect.
June 1, 2016 at 4:22 pm #35613@Apple i am sorry buy i have 1 more update for the map as some of the crews have changed. June 1, 2016 at 8:56 pm #35629This is amazing! I never thought anyone would ever think to do this, but hey, who am I to judge, I’ve been inactive for about 3-4 months!
This post that I posted on this post about something is probably useles information.............
June 2, 2016 at 1:51 pm #35652Tip: That writing top right is quite hard to read, I recommend a different font and to have each of the names of crews the same color, and then give each one a Colorued pins to mark them on the map as a “key”, like you are pinning onto the map.
There are absolutely hundreds of “push pin icon packs” out there.
Another option could be to use a different medieval weapon to represent each crew.
Like I know you can get medieval push pins
Fonts
As for fonts, check out the “scripts” section of dafont.com
They even have a selection of free pirate fonts.
June 3, 2016 at 7:08 pm #35700@PaulonFire and @CrazyPirate1 Thank you, very useful. I will sign “Wind” as “Wind” for now, maybe one day the name of the founder and of the city will pop out.
@souldin1 Thank you, I was waiting to know what happened to the Crusaders of the Void. I will add Khaos for the June Piratecraft Map. May will stay as it is for history. One day you will be able to see how the server’s face changed through time. Do you know if there are other remarkable crews who were formed after splitting from Cov?
@GodsDead Sadly I knew the graphics were overdetailed, overtextured and unclear. It resulted more in a painting rather than a practical, useful map. Thank you for the material, I would probably choose the custom weapon pin in order to keep the map in a pirate theme. Also, the current town names in the icons are too small, I will probably just add a number instead right next to the pin that you can then check on a separate list with settlement names for each number of the map. The problem of the crews up right are the textures on them, not the font itself, but I will see what can be done to maximize the readability, probably a flat white colour with pins next to them.
A second, minimalistic, clear, flat map is always an option.It would be interesting to have a fusion between the map and the wiki in this way: I don’t know if a site, a WordPress plugin, a software can do such thing, but imagine a page where you have this map with zooming tools like on Google Maps. Imagine that the town icons were coded to be working icons: if you move the mouse cursor on a settlement, a small window appears next to it with the name. If you click on it, you get redirected on the related wiki page, where you could find screenshots and description. It would be a general improvement in geography and history awareness. I don’t know how site coding works, so it will remain a small idea, at least for now.
Would it be possible to do this for the current live map icons, as a start? They already show town names, can’t they redirect to wiki pages?
Also, couldn’t a donator copy all the settlement locations found here and copy them on the live map? Temporary icons could be used while waiting for the owners posting the proper ones.June 3, 2016 at 7:29 pm #35703@paulonfire and @crazypirate1 Thank you, very useful. Ha, you just thought of an idea I had about 2 years ago, The new crew system is possible to put on the crews homes on the map with an additional plugin. This does not show all their homes around the map though.
It wouldn’t make much seance to have a second zoom-able map, our current map is run by a plugin called Dynmap, its possible to add anything to it, but not by players. and with how often crews come and die, it wouldn’t be practical to update, I was already considering showing crew homes on the dynmap, but im not sure if all the crews would want that information public.
June 4, 2016 at 4:28 pm #35726Would it be difficult to put the crew icons on the live map with the locations of this topic’s map? Some could probably be abandoned or moved to another crew, but you could re-check at the start of each month the changes and modify them. Is it difficult to edit/delete the icons on the Dynmap? Besides, the Dynmap lacks a lot of Elven Empire towns, which will probably last a lot of time anyway. And what about the links to the wiki? If you could click on a town and get redirected to it’s wiki page, people could read their history without searching them in the crew pages. It would be a more immediate way to aknowledge ourselves about some settlements and even easy to find the ones that still need a wiki page.
Edit: crew homes shouldn’t be revealed, I am talking only about the towns I show in my map. If they are here, they can be shown in the Dynmap too, at least those of the most old and strong crews, which will stand for a lot of time.
Regarding the map, I will soon start the first version of the june edition, trying to define the recently formed crews and then I will try to create the clearer one with pins.
June 4, 2016 at 4:52 pm #35728The elves tend to stay hidden but do not mind giving you some of our towns and most territorial control.
Part of our role and so that is why we don’t show it. All of our towns are active and operational. 🙂

June 7, 2016 at 7:50 am #35825Sorry, has Elite been confirmed yet? I can’t really remember <:D (party hat)

~~~^Too Many Crewz^~~~June 13, 2016 at 3:08 am #35983I have made the first try of the June version of the Piratecraft Map. I followed the advice of using icons or push pins and made a separate image for the crew list, so they can be read better. Each town doesn’t have it’s name, which was too small anyway, and now feature a number, which will be used in the topic description to find the town name and information (I still need to do this part). I tried two different designs. The push pins are too office themed, but they divide crews very well. I don’t really know which version should be used between:
A: Push Pins
B: Crew Icons
C: Old design
D: New design (your suggestion)
As always, it would be nice if you could provide me the settlements that are still missing here or correct my possible mistakes.Push Pin Map
I should update the Timeline soon too, adding Khaos, Elite and the merging between SPQR and VRE. I plan to insert links on every town name in the first page list so people can click on them and be redirected on their wiki pages. I would like to insert basic information like coordinates, map screenshot and ingame screenshot for each settlement’s wiki page.
I am more than happy for any suggestions.Edit: I have an issue, I cannot change the topic title anymore nor insert town list information. The “Edit” button disappeared. Is it because I have made too many modifications during the map updates? Am I forced to open another topic?
June 13, 2016 at 4:31 am #35986I’ve always thought of the ocean you labeled as the “West Sea” as “The North Sea”
- Former Minister of Justice of the British Empire
- Current Lord of the British Empire
http://wiki.piratemc.com/North_Sea
I was thinking to call the sea between the West one and the North one “North-West sea”. Tell me your thoughts.Is there a way to get an updated, high quality render of the DynMap?
