I thought they ignored armor, yet when I hit Hardtimez with two splash potions of harming two (try saying that twice) he survived and shanked me. How even? Someone please explain.

Ive read online that protection enchant negates harming damage; but poison potions will completely ignore armor.

Because poison effects the victim directly while harming….i don’t know it is programming logic.
Best wait for poison arrows in 1.9 and take revenge.

Possibly he had some other effects on stand by such as a golden apple adding more hearts or a regen potion which you just happened to make a long enough mid bit for his health to restore.

I’m not a pro at how potions work these are just ideas or this may be a sign of possible hacks.

If you take damage you are immune to damage for a short time so maybe you threw them to fast? Plus Hardtimez is known to always have godapples, the regeneration V basically makes you invulnerable for 30 secs, specially in combination with good armor.

if you throw the potin too fast it will only have the affect of the first potion,hard probably had a regen pot and that baisicaly keeps the potions fighting (regen almost allways wins XD ) + his abuse of golden apples/if you dint see him drink the pot or eat and apple then its just either luck lag or some hack…..

Splash Potions of Harming

Harming Potions deal 3 Hearts damage per level.
Splash Potions only deal there full effect on direct hits.
Harming Potions are not effected by armor, but are effected by Protection Enchantments.

Poison potions do not ignore armor, I take almost no damage from poison potions with my armor and the most damage anyone’s ever done to me with harm 2 pots was one heart and a half some harm 2 pots do half a heart to me it depends on where u critically hit the pot. None-the-less you at-least need 3 harm 2 pots to kill someone even if they had iron armor.
