Grappling Hooks In Piratecraft

Hey everyone,

Lately i have been thinking how i could help the server out after i have made a couple of mistakes.

This is just a suggestion, but could we have grappling hooks in Piratecraft? as in every pirate movie , P.O.T.C., Hornblower. They have grappling hooks to board an enemy ship and finish them off with a bit of old fashioned blade!

I have been looking into this on google and there seems to be a Bukkit plugin, Im not an expert on this kind of thing but could it work? I personally think it would be awesome!

this is nice for sheep bording but wont this make players make HUGE! walls just so the grapiling hoook dosent get to there base?

something that would be good too is guns and binoculers…just saying

Meh. I think we should stick to the basics. This would, like Elo pointed out in the poll he found, make walls all but useless. Though this would make for some interesting ship boarding, it would be very rarely used. I’d like to see us use ships a LOT more before we implement something like this. Just my opinion 🙂

Good job @Elo106 as Elo has pointed out we have already ran a poll for this a long time ago, ideas been thought of and discarded, I think it would only make life harder to protect yourself, it makes all walls useless then.

For the games server? Hell yeah we will have a grapplin class!

actually no..i just saw the vid and if you make the walls tall inove the person will fall to his or her death….but still it could glicht inside just like you can glicht a normalhook into a wall (this wont do anything but its possible…) but we should work on a way to board ships not just crash into another ship….(i’ve seen people just come on and crash into you’re ship its so anoing…how about a palnk that streachest to the other boat with a limit of 15 blocks

Hayden, i’m sure that’s much more easily said than done.

Thank you all for you’re opinions, i doubt it will be possible in the main Piratecraft server considering that no one seemed to want it and very true, it would make walls useless, unless there was a way to make it not work in claims?

Oh well, if we cant have it in the main Pirate server glad to know it will be in the games one, thanks Gods
