25k stocked rarely, all bought by TAS/CLNT – in short you can’t get one

Im tempted to put up a bunch for sale, like 10-20 or so, all with the same name, this will drop the value of Elytras in general though.

Please do Gods – but is there a way to limit them to 1 each, because its unfair to “buy them for friends” – if your not online its tough luck

Maybe we could have some ‘less expensive’ Elytras with no repair on them, that way people whom do not have enough money on them, could still buy them, however, that could mean some people could just buy all of them, and then put them up for higher prices.

This could be again solved by having 1 un-edited elytra per person for a certain cost (still high though, but not enchanted elytra high) so as to make it so people cannot buy the entire stock.

There would still be corrupt practices surrounding this such as people putting them out for sale again for higher prices, buying them off of other people for high amounts of money, knowing they could either pawn them off for higher or just to have more sets of wings.

You’ll always get the people however, whom just die whilst wearing them, so they’ll get lost that way.

Its sad, but if someone can afford multiple, let them buy multiple. At the end of the day; more money out of the eco is good news and will automatically drop prices (complicated economics blah blah). Its sad but true 🙁

Don’t overdo it haha. Stick with 3, every few months. If people only see 3 up for sale, they’ll buy them at a high price because they’ll assume they’re really rare. If you start selling a bunch of them, chances are people will see it as ‘just another thing you can buy from cove’ and possibly be less willing to buy them for a higher price.

this could either be an okayish idea, or just the little devil on my shoulder taking over my keyboard, but if you wanted to sell more elytras, but making them still somewhat expensive, but so other players could use them (while also controlling how much use they get), you can sell elytras enchanted with curse of binding and curse of vanishing.

curse of binding means once equipped, the item [this enchant is only allowed on armor in survival] is bound to you till death, or until it breaks. elytras technically cant be broken though. once they get to 0 durability, they shrivel up. kinda like a rasin or something

curse of vanishing means… well…. the way I explain it is, “you can only lose it once”. if you die with the item, by any means, equipped or not, the item vanishes. and since the wings take up the chestplate slot of your armor, it seriously leaves you vulnerable. even a creeper can kill you.

    just a thought here.

If I had a nickel for every time I, Ooo hey, a butterfly!! *runs off chasing the butterfly*

Or you could just build an elytra trap and get it for free… it takes a few hours to build and you won’t find it on YouTube

No. The entire point of having items that people cannot get is so we can have a sink for economy. definitely not.

Thats what I’ve been doing, then this post appeared. I leave signs when I restock them in the shop, when they were last restocked so we can keep track, so if someone messages me once its been 3mo since the last restock I will refill them.

I haven’t even used curse of binding, this is a great idea! We will definitely have to try this out! I really like this..

Curse of binding with elytras? Expect some kind of fairy crew.

Not that it’s a bad idea.
