    Im board of all the Kits, lets change them all, they need to stay balanced with items and timeframes they can be spawned in.

    Kits are hierarchical, so a cadet inherits deckhands /kit deckhand, and so on up the ladder.

    This also includes the newbie spawning kit and kit bible. The newbie spawn items are actually a kit that gets auto added when they spawn.

    Questions I can pre-expect;

    New players should start with a golden shovel; I’m against this, it makes it a step harder for them, and they do already spawn with a chest that auto puts down a claim, they can use /expandclaim 10/-10 to expand and shrink their initial claim too.

    New players should spawn with more food; Its a survival server, they spawn with a god damn fishing rod on a pirate ship that’s PVP free area. Because im sick of this frustration, the other night we spent some time re-doing the kitchen on the spawn ship, it now includes a 1 time kit with 3 fish and bread in there (If they bother exploring the pirate ship) Its also easier to get to the kitchen now, its no longer flooded and there’s 2 ladders to it.

    Asking for any Diamond/Op items be included in any kit: No.

    I have ideas just for names: please post them 🙂

    I have an idea for another kit/One time use kit: please post it!

    Kits make life to easy remove them all: I agree, I doubt anyone else does!

    There should be a build team with a builders kit: I prefer a stock room that can be stocked when needed, so supplies are not infinite or could be abused.

    I have a completely unrelated idea to this kits thread: don’t post it here, create your own damn thread, tag me in it if you want a response.

    Rank Up kit idea

    As I was writing this out, I just thought of something, would it be a better idea; that when you rank up you get access to the rank-up items via a kit instead of instantly sent to you? Just a one time kit instead of filling up your inventory when you rank up, that way you can /kit promotion1 one time for your kit, this means you don’t get your inv filled, lost in battle and can wait until you are ready for it, as rank upgrades happen at strange times you may be unaware of. (Why didn’t I think of this ages ago)

    Yeah, a rank up kit. Bearing in mind a few of the requirements are kill related, it can be a bit annoying when you’re in a pvp scenario and end up losing the kit (so I’ve heard).

    Kits at the moment are pretty cool, I’d rather /kit tools be stone rather than wood, as wood is…useless, really. I think /kit gunner might need a little change, the bow being called a flintlock with punch, rather than fire. As it stands, kits aren’t overly imbalanced-I’d actually support them being removed if it wasn’t for the fact its an incentive to donate and rank up.

    i just have a suggestion for the gunner kit, if the items stay in it as is, can the gunner tnt name be removed like the gunpowder name was? u have to place it and break it in order to use it in a cannon because of the name

    crazy, I disagree with both of your suggestions. kit tools imo should stay wood. wood tools are actually a tiny bit more useful in some ways, they can be used in a furnace. for a noob if they cant find coal, wood tools could be used as fuel. (I have actually done this before while mining, had a silk pick and no torches, and no cobble for a furnace). for a noob, id say they should start with lowest tier, not second tier items (wood vs stone tools).

    as for gunner kit, the gunner bow having fire can be used to ignite the tnt you get with the kit. again, I have seen this used. i think the fire enchant is more useful in kit gunner. punch is just annoying, especially if you bow spam ;P

    In my opinion flame should be removed from the bow, it’s a good enchant made too easy to get. I suggests that enchant gets removed and a flint & steal comes with the kit. And other idea are that we remove the bow completely, and maybe give a stone sword with sharpness or fire aspect etc.

    I also suggests that the armor in /kit commander and /kit captain are removed, and replaced with other items. Iron armor shouldn’t be that easy to get if you ask me. I almost never see crafted iron armor, and iron armor have become worthless since /kit commander and /kit captain came out.

    Cys, thing is, when does someone place tnt and blow it up? If you’re terraforming, you’ll use a cannon; if you’re on the offensive, attacking a base, you’ll use a cannon; chances are, if you’re placing tnt to blow up using the bow, you’re likely griefing land, and I’m sure we can agree, we need less of that.

    I personally love the suggestions in Dorks post 😛

    No OP items. Potions are not needed at all, people have too many resources as it is, infinite amounts of everything, there is no need to make it easier.

    same goes for Armour.

    Remove firework names from kit gunner.

    Boatswain is a lesser to gunner, gunner offers more protection AND a weapon, maybe boatswain should be given an iron sword (plain) and call it bubble wand or something, sorry, idk lel.

    I have an idea for a new kit you unlock with a certain rank, for example, Cadet. It is called kit SOS

    The idea is the kit gives you emergency supplies, such as torches and food.  The idea is you only can use this kit every day or so, making players decide when the best time really is to use it. Please add on to this idea, i’d appreciate it!

    The kit carpenter have no sense

    It is good only for the map.

    Also kit quartermaster  isn’t good the speed 2 potion can’t be used because it can’t be modified  (I’m  not sure).

    I'm Italian and I hate Pineapple pizza.
