Would anyone be interested in setting up player-run bounty offices that players have the option to use? We wouldn’t need any additional plug-ins because the /pay system is sufficient. Bounties can be posted on signs at the offices, as well as in group forums.

Bounty offices can compete with each other for profits, and can refuse to pay bounties if there is any suspicion of gaming. It would also allow for secret bounties, and item rewards for bounties.

Players could choose between the bounty plug-in or the bounty offices. Of course, there is always the risk a bounty firm goes rogue and doesn’t pay up, but that’s the fun of playing on a pirate server…

Sounds good to me they could also require proof of deed such as the head of the person who has the bounty

I like this idea but for the time being the current bounty system works perfectly

Also as you mentioned the private bountys idea is already in use I know of players being payed off to attack certain players without the use of the bounty plugin.

i like it because in the current system, if someone has one of those $18 bounties, but someone really wants them dead for more than that, they could offer a higher amount for their head.

they can accept the $18 as well 😛
