Ahoy me hearties!
The Cove is in need of some new auto-generating vessels, At present we only have schooners at /warp ships, This is a competition for 4 Dhows (Max 150 blocks) to be created for our new docks at /warp ships. The winners will be turned into buy-able ships for the entire server to purchase.
The main reason we are pushing Dhows is for lower ranks to be able to buy a ship straight away and sail it out of the cove! This also means we can run the no Tp weekend event with everyone able to buy and sail ships!
A big thank you to @Calliemav and @smokeyriverfor for building the second set of docks next to /warp ships ready for people to build entries in, To apply; reply to this thread, and I will allocate you a dock number to build in, we have plenty of dock space in the center of the cove too, so there are more than these docks available.
Rules
- All entries need to be Dhow size (150 blocks max)
- Ships need to be Pirate Era themed
- Ships need to be sail-able
- You can work solo or in teams, prizes will be split between teams.
- The ship needs to fit inside the given plots, so they will fit inside the docks, make sure they don’t touch the docks!
- I want detailed, furnished ships, I hate empty shells of ships, if you want some inspiration check out Tims giant Indiaman behind the brewery “The rusty keg” at the Cove, you can get to it through the bar now too.
- Ships need to be named after flowers, here’s a flower glossary. Tip: make the sail colour match the flower name.
- Supply your own resources for building, you can lock a chest in the dock you are given to build! 🙂
Prize Per ship that wins
- Gets to be a buy-able ship at the cove by anyone, This means it will be seen as a “default” ship for PirateCraft, It will be listed on the webpage with the other buy-able ships.
- £500 in-game
- 500 Claim blocks
- Open to more ideas (reply with your entry)

Hello. I’m Chelliark. And I’m just here to give my opinion on this whole Justin banned for AIMBOT thing. You see I know Justin in real life and I can tell you he’s trustworthy. I went to school with him this last year and I can vouch for his trustworthiness. I know you guys may not rate my opinion very highly but I do not believe that Justin 1. downloaded AIMBOT 2. used it in front of a staff member on his favorite server and then 3. lied about it trying to get back on! Trust me! I know him. And it’s because I have known him for quite some time that you should take me seriously.
I also have some logical defense for Justin. When Calliemav saw him in the lobby, he was running away. Why wouldn’t he turn around and shoot Callie if he knew the arrow (arrows) would definitely hit their mark?? he could have even scored some superior armor if he had killed Callie with “AIMBOT”! I know you may say as a counterargument, that he didn’t want to get banned so he wouldn’t do it in front of a staff. Well he didn’t and it looks like it didn’t make a difference whether he attacked or not. Not having too much experience with this server, ( I’m just helping out a friend:), I’m going to assume that Callie is both very good at PVP and very experienced with the Pirate craft server. This would make it perfectly logical that Justin would run away. As for the chatted question about PVP mods, he may have missed it in his frenzy to get away from Callie. In explanation, for the weird head movements, there are too many factors involved to be certain AIMBOT caused it. And you have to be certain to give a permanent ban. It could have been his skin or lag or any number of other eventualities. I am very convinced Justin was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. I have never been in a situation like this myself but I can imagine the helpless feeling when you know you are innocent with no way to prove it.
I’m also astounded at the lack of evidence in this case. There is no tangible evidence: no photos or videos. I trust that Callie saw what she saw and the sudden disconnect made things even more suspicious, but if she thought something might of been going on then it would have been nice if there could have been a screenshot or video to go along with the ban so that we could see what she saw. I also wish this case could adopt the innocent until PROVEN guilty mindset. Since there is no actual proof, we can only assume that Justin IS innocent.
As for Callie’s third comment that it’s a great story but just a story after all, well, aren’t all ban appeals stories? Why would people even appeal if they knew that their appeal was just going to be looked at as a “story”. If you’ve unbanned anyone you must have realized at some point that they weren’t just telling a story. Of course this is a story! But like 3 or 4 people so far have read this “story” and agreed it was true! there is no way to prove Justin is innocent but there is plenty to go off of to prove that this case does not have enough evidence against him for a ban. Yes, if he had actually used AIMBOT he should be banned but he didn’t even know what it was at the time for goodness sakes! Also, (putting myself in your shoes) if I believed he had AIMBOT and had his head locked on you, he still didn’t do any damage. If he were to use AIMBOT in the future I’m sure he would get reported by someone! So you should unban him EVEN if you still believe he has done wrong. If he “hacks” again I’m sure you’ll know!
Lastly, I want to end by saying I totally respect your decision but I sincerely hope you take what I have said to heart and consider these points.

On behalf of all the piratecraft staff, especially smokeyriver and I, thank you to all players for your prompt response to our request to log out last night. I was genuinely surprised at how quickly most of you responded to the issue. That being said, it was a huge help to us and eliminated a lot of confusion. I realize it is frustrating for everyone when issues like that occur on the server and I assure you that the problems are being looked at and solutions are being searched for. I have rolled back to 01:00 Mon 8th June, so nothing should be lost, I need anyone that was online when damage was caused to log in and check that this was repaired and that the world restored correctly.
Before I can re-open I need staff to test the plugins to make sure nothing else was knocked out.
Again, I’m at work and its impossible for me to get on in-game.
At 01:00 GMT This morning when the server rebooted, it started without claims, I’m assuming it failed to connect to the MySQL server when it rebooted, so it started with out Claims/Stats/Cannons. This is usually fixed with a reboot but I was asleep!
Luckily smokeyriver was online to whitelist the server, but since I have no idea if everyone was kicked im unaware if some players would have tried to take advantage of this and looted/created destruction.
Was everyone kicked straight away?
Did any damage/looting happen (If so who)?
Im at work and cannot get on for the next 7 hours, so unless I can have information given to me you will all have to wait.
@bislo1 Yeah boi! I like your thinking, I might have to brainstorm with you about items that we should sell from port to port, I want to use normal items, that means people could deplete their entire storage rooms of an item instead of custom items? What do you think? The only issue with this is people making giant farms closer to the selling town, I would have to take over giant portions of land to make sure people couldn’t build that close, this might be a massive pain with pre-built towns as there’s hundreds of claims around. We would need a town at each corner of the map and something at the cove which is near enough central.
@aniviankevinlu that sounds like an event within an event! Its a good idea, but it isn’t a replenishing option, every other time we have done this, one-two players ends up leaving with everything, What we could do is have infinite spawners in Evermoor with mobs that drop custom items, we could have some really tough mobs that would need a team to kill.
@smokeyriver I think it’s too late in the game to be changing something as used as teleport, I don’t think I will be changing it permanently as people are used to it and I don’t want to push people away. This will act as a trial run to see if it would work as a permanent second world that has more sea and nothing but islands, Then we could have permanent trade routes setup on another world and still keep the TP in this world, I haven’t thought about this properly yet so there could be major flaws with this.
@smokeyriver Its depressing the amount of babysitting I have to do.
@smokeyriver I don’t think it was manually deleted, otherwise it would have appeared in our new logs that I turned on a few days ago, So I can only assume it was some form of attack or a bug with the plugin, if it was a known attack then someone isn’t speaking, I haven’t ever had issue with this in the past, the only thing I can think of is that I have set permissiontrust in an adminclaim, ive never done that before, we tested deleting the claim as a permission holder it didn’t make any difference you still need to be an admin.
Some assholes took advantage of this, They raided the supplies and destroyed the control building and claimed it! So keep an ear close to the ground, I want blood!
