Im looking for writer(s), someone that can help me update pages on the website, create new ones and write regular blog posts (I have a few ideas).

A few basic skills im looking for:
- Fluent in the queens best.
- Patience to re-read and re-write until a post is perfect.
- Have used WordPress/blogging software previously.
- Can write to deadlines (Or write for a few weeks in advance)
- Have basic understanding of photo editing & Formatting.
- Is good at researching & sourcing content to work with.
- Portfolio of some sort to see existing work.
First Job:

The first job im looking for someone to fill a weekly “Pirate Minecraft Inspiration of the week”, This will be a weekly blog post that mainly consists of screenshots found throughout the billions of minecraft screenshots around the internet, could include videos too.

The idea of this is to give some inspiration to the PirateCraft builders each week for projects to start on using existing Medieval style builds found around the internet.

Screenshots would be accompanied with Reviews, How this could be used on PirateCraft, or anything else you can think of for a fascinating post.

This could be in the format of a “Top 10 Pirate themed minecraft island Inspiration” for instance, then next week “The Best Pirate minecraft ship building Inspiration”, you’ve seen this style of posts everywhere on the internet.

What will you get?

I can create a new “media” rank, so people would know you are part of the media team (We need to build a media team) SuperGL is currently the only other member of the Media Team, his job is running BOTM & getting rendered screenshots in-game.

How Will it work?

You apply on this forum thread, The staff at piratecraft may pick someone, You will be notified by me (GodsDead) via PM, We will do some trial blog posts before posting anything live.

Will I need another account?

Nope, I can Promote any website account to publish on the blog.

How many people will View my blog posts?

We are getting over 1000 impressions a day on the website, blog posts are on the front page and are the first thing people see when visiting PirateCraft, so we are looking for top quality postings.

How long does it take to write a blog post?

I have some blog posts that have taken over 3-6 hours to write with 30-70 revisions, Bare this in mind when applying.

Overjoyed about this! I’m in my GCSE year, and have done a few pieces of coursework and tests so far, with each on getting an A*. So its good for me to improve, and I help the community. If you want to see existing work, I could haggle a teacher for my copy of Romeo and Juliet, a loss of innocence, although I doubt it would be interesting. I’m happy to write an example piece.

My background is limited; I’m in secondary school, so my work opportunities consist of very little. I don’t work for a newspaper, and neither am I an acclaimed young author. As for my ability to research, I excel. You can ask any student, it is a fact that English GCSE’s depend on coursework, which in turn, depends on your ability to rewrite and alter every scrap of your work. I use Word (Microsoft), but also use Libre office. I am also happy to write a piece on anything of interest, if that would appeal to you. 🙂

Very nice! Well I’m in journalism II AP sophomore year high school, along with animation but those are my two main courses 🙂 !! I use all Microsoft documents to make sure work is at the best. I turn in everything on time and before a due date (usually 1 day before), I work at the library if that helps? I have 5 of my best pieces of work 80-100%. I have had my paper ripped in front of my face of bad work i could take revisions. I am good at any type of photo and video footage and good at photo shop

Ooh This looks fun! 😀 As all of you may know, I am amazing at inspiring people to do things (totally). I write for my school newspaper so I know AP style pretty well. I also review my work constantly over and over again to make sure I don’t have any mistakes… Soooo….. How do I apply? 😀

@GodsDead if there is a media rank does that mean you’re also looking for Youtubers/video editors perhaps? 😀

@aniviankevinlu I am looking for people to make videos, I have a list of about 20 video I need made, But again Im looking for super high quality, that means, Filmed with renders on (For trailer) pre-scripted and stroyboarded so videos follow a structure and basic video rules, like framing shots. 75% of “Minecraft” videos I see do not meet any of the standards I was looking for! I was going to just wait until I can build a decent comptuer to run renders and film myself!

Im open to options, but I’ve got a clear idea in my head what im looking for!

There are a bunch of 60second-2mins videos I need shooting in the normal texturepack no shaders, thats simple tutorials for Ships/Cannons/Brewing/GriefPrevention to add on to all the pages on the website, at present I link to external videos and would much prefer PirateCraft branded, precise, to the point videos, No faffing around, no bs talking about random crap, the video has a purpose! Like this guy.

This guys channel is amazing

If someone can be professional, to the point and precise like that, then talk to me!

I do business studies. I never hand anything that I’m not happy with in for marking. I strive for perfection in everything I do.

I helped my mum set up a blog on WordPress.

Can write to deadlines (Or write for a few weeks in advance)

I’ve completed an Extended Project Qualification as part of my sixth form studies. So many deadlines… Managed to meet all of them, though. Also currently working on a project for computing, and haven’t missed a deadline yet.

Have basic understanding of photo editing & Formatting.

I have a GCSE in ICT. I got a merit overall (happy to prove), and a distinction in the graphic design section (unfortunately unable to prove).

Is good at researching & sourcing content to work with.

A whole module of my Extended Project Qualification was dedicated to research. I also had to fluently and professionally reference all of my sources.

Portfolio of some sort to see existing work.

As of yet, non-existent. I’ll draft something up tonight/tomorrow and send it via private messages on the website to GodsDead by no later than 17:00GMT tomorrow.

Hey GodsDead!

I’m hoping I can become a editor, or more-so a video recorder. I can do either one, and while I do not have a portfolio, I was a bulletin editor at my school and still am, and have never missed a deadline. My current rig is a i7 4820k with 2x GTX 970, so I can perfectly record at 60fps/100fps in game. Thanks! (Added pictures)
