so theres been way too much confusion between Templars and BE about who wins a battle, how and why. I talked with CaptainCrackerz about the situation, and he also agreed with me, and we both compiled a list of “rules” per say to determine which side wins in a battle and how/why.
-Naked civilian (or recently killed fighter)- nothing.
-Iron Death- .5
-Ninja Death (naked invis with harming pots)- .5
-God Death- 1
-God player runs (must tp away from the battle scene completely, even to repot. basically, first to run loses)- 1
-Brute forced out of a siege (being chased, attacked, or bow spammed away)- 1
-Death in siege (applies to sieger and player being sieged)- 1
most points by the end wins. each point goes to the other side when one of these events happens. so for example: when BE attacked Templar Citidel, there were lots of people running around. cottage cooper died in iron. he died, so point to BE. cap ran out of the siege himself to attack allidoisdig1234 (cap was not chased away) so neither side got a point, since he wasn’t “forced” away. whoever tped away during the fight, even to repot and tp back gave a point to the other side. when TAS and Templars tped back to the citadel, we didn’t run away from the fight scene so no points given to BE.
this list was made because im sure many people other than cap and I are sick of the annoying bickering in chat about who wins and who loses.
if anyone has any rule (the things listed) they would like to contest/change, they need to provide examples, and enough detail to back it up.

August 20, 2016 at 4:28 am #39670So what I’m getting is if your on “home court” as you say, you automatically win?
I feel we may need to edit the tping out part. For example today we were attacked on BE soil and no one died but the Templars tped out obv to go home… So I guess thats auto loss??
Seems kinda confusing…

August 20, 2016 at 4:50 am #39673idk about suicide squads. have to talk to cap about that. but as for maiz, if BE got attacked, and Templars left (even if nobody died) then yes they lose. they tped away, so they ran from the battle. meaning instant loss there. if you tp away from the fight scene, you lose the fight.

I’ve technically not tped away from the battle, but I did tp away to repot. Would that be a point for the attackers?
Sorry to complicate it all xD
One other scenario. Someone (BE) is sieged, by three attackers. I warp close by, and lure them away. They lose the siege, and move away from the base, running to me. I then tp away; either to the sieged base, or home. Who wins there?
Thanks! 🙂
August 20, 2016 at 2:17 pm #39682Cheers Cys! Having some clear rules will make deciding victors much easy post-battle.
Just a few suggested amendments:
– That killing an ‘Iron’ is a half point, given that a few hits kills iron while a god fight can last hours.
– To what distance does a tactical retreat count as fleeing? I have fought players until they have “only gone back to their fort a few hundred blocks away”. I would argue that unless the main battle is taking place around the fort itself then it is a retreat.
– Winning a siege in the games mechanics means nothing. Anyone with a stone brick box can win a siege or any number of reasons can lead a player to willingly leave a siege. Sieges in the non plugin sense (attacking a base) should be decided by the other point metrics eg. kills/retreats

also keep in mind that not every single scenario can be described and a rule be made for. that’s just insanity, and while I am insane, I don’t really feel like spending forever thinking of every little scenario and how to award points to a victory. I may have no life and too much time, but that don’t mean I wanna spend it on that. >->

August 20, 2016 at 5:08 pm #39688I feel like cannon kills should be worth 2 points. Here’s the catch though: it doesn’t matter the amount, you can kill five God with a cannon, get those five points, but you still only get +2 for a cannon kill
Hi
August 20, 2016 at 6:21 pm #39692This is a great idea but I feel it is almost going to be misleading as in someone thinks this is a point others argue otherwise ect. But I think if I don’t know where but mabye at ae0s because it’s used so much, we have a board setup for points scoring which both leaders have access too, also if there were the rules on the board aswell for people who don’t read forums. Also in front of the board we could have a hopper for book and quills for when leaders are not on they can add it on later. (Actually recapping on earlier about who would have access to this board. Leaders of crews that are involved I don’t know for BE’s side but TMPLR’s side is leader of TAS , my crew ToW and of course TMPLR leaders)
thats my opinion but awesome idea cysteen 🙂 @cysteen

August 20, 2016 at 6:42 pm #39693odi, a suicide squad would probably be a horrible idea. id count them under ninjas, since they are still fighting. I mean if someone wants to run into battle with no armor and allow the other side to kill them, more points to them..?
crazy, as long as you didn’t engage in the battle, then you should be able to repot safely. if you get jumped and have to bolt for pots, that’s a 50/50, imo. not everyone is battle ready when building, so idk about that one.
browe, its a whole retreat if they tp away completely. a fight usually never takes place in a small area. it’s all over the place and can span for even a thousand blocks. long as you don’t run like a @#$%& out of the fight, youre still in it.
the siege thing could be debated more, since the siege plugin mechanics kinda have a mind of its own. sometimes it is impossible to siege someone in a box… um.. think about what youre sieging and if you can really win it? it is stated that you need to be brute forced out. not if you walk away because of a box. brute forced means bow spammed, chased out with a sword (or cannon), etc. if you have to walk away from a siege, neither side gets a point, since nothing really happened.
dork,…. too complicated. cannon kill is one point. don’t matter if its an amazing shot, this list isn’t supposed to make this war a competition or a game.
again, this list wasn’t made to be heavily debated over how many points given, or to be turned into a game or competition. it was made to make determining winners of a battle within a war. the more attention we pay to deciding what rule gets what points, the less of a war it becomes and will sound more like a competition. also, you simply cannot list every single scenario or possibility and expect a written rule to be made for it. that makes it way too complicated. id like to think that if something like these scenarios were to happen, then both sides could stop bickering, and agree on something. this war isn’t really a hostile one, and even if it was, theres no need to be barbaric towards eachother in chat over who wins. we aren’t kindergarteners.

God killing iron = 1 point
Iron killing God = 5 points
God killing God = 4 points
God killing Ninja= 1 point
Ninja killing Ninja= 2 points
Iron killing Ninja= 2 points
Ninja killing God= 5 points
Ninja killing iron= 1.5 points
Now on to suicide squads, these work very well at smoothening out the crowd, sometimes I sneaked in and just blasted people with potions that harmed both me and them, you do this as a first charge, the God people wait until the Suicide Bomber is dead and then they charge, the team would’ve already lost some of their potions trying to regen then.

August 20, 2016 at 11:42 pm #39697odi, this isn’t a class-based Team fight. this isn’t TF2. looks like you hardly took any consideration when typing this, and just gave your own interpretation, instead of a revision. the more in-depth we get with the point system the less of a war it really is and more of a competition it becomes.
the point of this entire thread was to help REDUCE the amount of bickering from everyone about who wins, how any why. now to create a discussion of how in depth we can make this a competition.
