A player named anandak just reported a claim modification to me. He is the owner of a claimed a tower in the ocean. Said tower has been sunk to the seabed.
Anandak hasn’t trusted anyone else in this claim. The only way I can imagine this could have happened is someone turning the floating tower into a ship before sinking it. There is the ruined hull of a sunken ship next to the tower that wasn’t there before. The person who did this must have done this act intentionally in order to destroy the tower.
I trust altering a player’s claim in this way violates the claim modification rule?
@all mods.
April 7, 2017 at 9:45 pm #48960this can be prevented by building a 1×1 pillar out of any siegeproof material such as stonebrick and connect it to the ocean floor.
also he could have just had a double chest in the claim and it couldnt have been made into a ship.

April 7, 2017 at 10:03 pm #48961Aye, this could be easily prevented. Nevertheless, someone decided to modify the claim. I know dozens of claims I could modify using ships, yet I refrain from doing so due to the rules.
April 8, 2017 at 1:54 am #48971I have put double chests to prevent further damage. Is there any way the damage could be undone? It will take weeks to repair it otherwise. Someone (most likely the person who sunk it) also robbed my chests (which did have blocks on top to protect them) which had many valuables. Is there any way those chests could be restored?
April 8, 2017 at 4:02 am #48972it’s said in the rules- goods will not be replenished. restoring the chests is technically duping, which is a no-no. especially with valuables. as for your tower, taking weeks to repair? that tower looks small, I could probably help you rebuild that in a couple of hours or less, lol. if you need assistance, I could help. I can offer some stone and such to help repair it if you like. msg me in game if you’re interested.

I mean it doesn’t make any sense to me that you only had single chests inside your base. If that is the case then it’s a ship and if it is a ship then using another ship to sink it is fair game as I have confirmed many many times.

April 8, 2017 at 1:48 pm #48980No, in fact, the tower was part of a larger, stationary base. I was not intending to move anything, and it did not occur to me to put double chests, since it wasn’t necessary. The base isn’t even complete. I’m still planning most of the buildings.
April 8, 2017 at 2:00 pm #48981I see what the rules say. It wasn’t just the tower that was sunk. There were also other sunken structures that will take a while to reconstruct.
