Well Chamberlain.. Thats how it Works, people claim stuff they don’t own, then see if someone else objects, if not, then it’s ours, if someone else claims it too there is 1, going to be war over the thing, or 2, there will be negotiations to split the land accordingly..
I mean no one can claim an area fully unless its claimed with the claimblocks, so everything else is by fact wilderness, it just depends on who claims to own what and how well they are willing to defend it, yeh?

March 5, 2016 at 6:19 pm #30383@CrazyPirate1 -_- well it would be helpful if you guys could tell me where exactly this is so i can correct my mistake, and kinda coordinate what you two are saying considering pal said we’re trying to expand onto their land implying he’s talking about the expansion project while you are assumably talking about the same thing but in a different area. Not to mention neither have you have given me a map, because if they have dibs they sure as heck haventy set up a physical boarder, and i have no means to know where anyone is if they don’t either tell people where they are or at least give people some markers. Also could you stop treating me like a child who doesnt know what they’re talking about? idk why but BE has been VERY hostile twords us for some time now and idk why, I’m trying to fix my mistakes and trying to expand and get this crew rolling and you two are treating me like i knew i was doing something wrong from the beggining.
also not to mention it is hard to believe you when not a single XE member has contacted me or buck saying tht we’re on their land, and even if we were I’m sure we could work something out. But if we are show me a map of where their land is, and if its possible to correct it, i will. But if we have a permanent boarder and city set up in their land which we didnty know it was their land we will have to talk it out with them.

▲ ▲March 5, 2016 at 6:31 pm #30384Agreed Bislo! However , negative assurance is never a way to go about claiming land. If I create a page on the wiki that is buried and I claim to be the “ruler of the pirate craft world” is it mine if no one finds it? I know gods had the option on the world map to see claims and I’m not sure if it is still there but it would be pretty awesome to have an area of influence around each claim. The area would grow larger for the longer time people were in it and would decrease if it was left abandoned. This would also grow /shrink depending on crew members deaths in the area. If the area would run into another area of influence then the areas would cease to grow until a conflict arose or people died within the claim. If only someone had the brains to figure that out… I for one got lost writing the suggestion.
March 5, 2016 at 6:52 pm #30386Look.. Our claims are fair, they sorround our settlements and the sorrounding areas, its not really much.. Also they where made a long time ago and they where publicised on the British empire site on the wiki for everyone to see a long time ago too.. if someone wants to dispute the claims, go ahead, I just haven’t heard anything at all up until now.. and i see no reason that you cannot live in that jungle, no one denies you that right, so what is the problem even?

March 5, 2016 at 7:24 pm #30387I would show EA territory But I don’t know how to do that.

March 5, 2016 at 7:55 pm #30388Wadsworth, the area you have called ‘priminus’ is the XE capital. If you look at the map i posted a few pages earlier, thats bang in the middle of XE land. I just going to assume this was a mistake.
XE and VE have agreed new borders and I will post them shortly.
Also, I would just like to point out; you don’t own land unless you have a town in it, or more realistically speaking, if you have claimed it. If anyone plays Civ V, they will know that. You gain ‘land’ every few moves. Just because there is a small spot that no one owns, does not necessarily give an empire the right to declare it theirs. I mean, if I went around claiming XE land as every single gap between borders, it would be insane.
I have always been a fan of how people on this server rule and handle their empire’s land, such as BE colonies. Personally, I would rather have land grouped together in an area of a map, than loads of small bits all over the map. Reason: roads and it’s safer in my opinion. If the server didn’t have tp’s (I would support that), think of the amount of hours needed to walk between your land, risking walking into enemy territory.
In short: when the map is out, I fear expanding Empires will take over every little spot that’s still available. If so, I can’t wait for a no tp event. I know people will disagree with me, that’s OK.

@XeronMarch 5, 2016 at 9:11 pm #30393@maximus I totally agree with the no tp thing, but what I would like to point out more is the fact that there is also the strat where you buy land…
March 5, 2016 at 9:22 pm #30395Thank god for you coming in Max.
Wads, I’m sorry if we made you feel small, but on your map your ‘primus’ area, is not your land, it’s XE’s land, not to mention capital.
We weren’t bothered about your expanding area & elexandria, we were more worried about how you had claimed some XE land as your own.
March 5, 2016 at 10:57 pm #30397@Wadsworth I just realized that you named your capital city “New Rome”
I think I may change my town’s name to “Old Rome” if that is OK with you 😀

My main concern was the original land claim that was posted in the beginning that the BE claimed to have a large portion of the Jungle I wanted to build in. I was disputing this because I know that the BE have been very set in their ways, “the glory days,” “this is what was, this is what is,” days. I hate conversations over the internet/texting other than hearing someones voice because you can never know what their tone is. (Starting a sentence with “Look….” or “well chamberlain” is a good way to get someone aggravated. )I am taking your tone in the above messages as “This is the way it is” as I have seen demonstrated by the BE before. I apologize if this is not the way you are trying to represent yourself however this is the way I took it. I was not disputing any of your claims except the one in the Jungle that has been resolved. And to clarify it was never a question of whether I could live there or not as anyone can live wherever they want. I was simply making a claim for an area that the BE claimed already. This has been rectified. So as you have previously asked “what is the problem even?” there is none. Glad we could sort this out.

As a matter of fact, i made such a map for the LoN about 2 -3 months ago. It is by far not complete, but if it helps in any way, feel free to use it. It includes a few territories, albeit some are old and/or incorrect. As for land disputes, its 3 months old, and using scraps information the LoN gave me, so when @texter495 creates his ‘own version’ make sure to report any in corrections. <iframe id=”imgur-embed-iframe-pub-jKqp6uh” class=”imgur-embed-iframe-pub imgur-embed-iframe-pub-jKqp6uh-true-540″ style=”margin: 10px 0px; padding: 0px; width: 540px; height: 500px;” src=”http://imgur.com/jKqp6uh/embed?ref=http%3A%2F%2Fpiratemc.com%2Ftopic%2Fsetting-up-a-region-map%2F&w=540″ scrolling=”no” allowfullscreen=”true”></iframe><script src=”//s.imgur.com/min/embed.js” async=”” charset=”utf-8″></script>
That little part about the Elven Empire owning the land in the bottom left side (Evermoor) is outdated. That’s CoV territory now.
March 6, 2016 at 6:41 am #30407Hohoho, i can’t wait to see the final map.
I think we could create a way to show the “influence area”, like having flags in the corners or something like that.
Or even make it in smaller areas, put a tower in the middle of each and who owns have it’s flag on top. Who conquers change the flag. Just ideas.
Ps.: Gardenia temple is a small neutral dot :p
:p
March 6, 2016 at 5:01 pm #30428only problem I have with your map idea, is the conquering thing, that rarely happens & the only time is has ever happened was when the VE joined the 0utlaws for about a week until realising they didn’t have to & that the EE & BE would help them out.
March 6, 2016 at 5:48 pm #30433Also, I would just like to point out; you don’t own land unless you have a town in it, or more realistically speaking, if you have claimed it. March 6, 2016 at 6:10 pm #30436I feel your pain, that very bitter pain
RIP Hippo Regius 2k16 -2k16, they will be missed.
