Remove name from Gunner Gunpowder?

Cannons cant use both Gunner Gunpowder and Normal Gunpowder, the idea for having the item named is that it lets the player understand what its for.

Since this is a pain in the ass not being able to use gunner gunpowder in cannons, we have 2 options:
- Remove the name of gunner gunpowder and have a free converter at the cove to convert named items to normal items, and have a book be given to the player when they rank up to gunner to explain what the items are for in their kits.
- Make the cannons use only named Gunner Gunpowder, have a converter at the cove that allows converting normal gunpowder to Gunner Gunpowder.
What should it be?

I think the 2nd version of using gunner gun powder instead is better.

I think though people could just call it gunner gunpowder though instead.

But if we were to do this I think exp would be a good way of people to transform it into useable powder or we could just use money or trade in something i.e. gunpowder maybe or creeper eggs which could give u loads of gunner gun powder I dunno.

Just some ideas but when you stated the idea in chat loads of people liked it.

I think that the name for Gunner Gunpowder should be removed. You only have to go to cove once to convert your old gunner gunpowder into normal ones; after that all gunpowder u have will be the same. If it was the other way around you would have to constantly convert the normal gunpowder that you get from creepers into gunner ones. Also, for me, the name “gunner gunpowder” doesn’t make me think that it is specifically for cannons more than if it were just normal gunpowder. People who just ranked to gunner and want to use cannons would probably look at the guide where it states that you use gunpowder to load cannons.

I agree with zen, if u use gunner gunpowder, u would have to use that only and rename all of creeper gunpowder into that. Also for cadets sailors and carpenters they do not have access to the kit but can use rusty cannons, so they couldn’t even use the canons because they would need to convert it into named.

Yeah, if there was an option given: make the gunners and boatswains, who know what they are doing, convert what they get rather then complicating it even more for noobs who have no idea how to even build a cannon.
